Fairly well known SBi had great coverage for those timezones back then.
1.) The timezone difference is 1 hour between the Asians that play on SBi.
( Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia ) is 1 hour gap with Seoul
2.) SBi were always strong in that time period. In early T1 majority of our coverage back then was Korean ( WM, Evil, DD ). They also constituted the largest guild representation for SBi WvW at the time.
3.) That timezone decimated any T2 match-up at the time.
4.) At one point SBi even had moderate Aussie coverage with guild like DU ( Downunder ). This provided some overlap.
5.) TA guilds from SEA, HK and Taiwan came over. We lost that group of Taiwanese when they moved to SoR? shortly after.
Some of the TA guilds are very WvW focused and some have mixed membership.
6.) Numbers in guild profiles easily deceive those that are not actually in WvW with those guilds. By sheer numbers + hours over a week War Machine constitute a large part of our Asian / SEA coverage. Its a trifecta of morale + numbers + hours
7. ) Our smaller dedicated WvW SEA guilds would spend same amount of time as WM over the week and provide much of the leadership + morale on the maps they are on.
SBi's large Asian timezone guilds have many members and tend to hold a borderland. By their own admission they are not hardcore WvW.
Thanks for clearing up what constitutes our oceanic/sea/ population. You may want to look into who is holding EB for you too
