OK just want to clarify some things. SBI and JQ have not played against SoS before so they probably haven't been following us at all.

SoS used to do really well during oceanic primetime (we were one of the two "go-to" servers for australian guilds - IoJ begin the other one). We had minimal NA/Asian/EU coverage so we used to go from +695 for a few hours down to +0 during NA primetime. We were  T4 ranked 10 for a few weeks. Our losses to FA and TC were weird as we never faced those players directly.

About five weeks back Defiance (RUN) moved to SoS, but left after about four days because they felt too lonely in the NA timeslot.

About four weeks back we had the DB guilds (TSym, Sexy etc), then PRX and RMA, and a few others, all move in the space of about a week.

The only other major guild that has come in since is DiE last week.

I really like where SoS is at the moment. It is really is the co-operation, and mutual respect between guilds, that is proving successful.

PRX is great, but I think if you think that you only need to worry about PRX then I am not sure you have been playing much against us this week?

I believe this is the most accurate post about how the SoS as we know now was formed. I remeber playing against SoS during the betas and they had the best Oceanic crew of all servers during that time. That was one of the main reasons for RMA to join SoS, we knew we gonna have a good coverage during the Oceanic/Asia timezones. Also we had a talk with our former allied TA friends from PRX who made us decide in favor of SoS and not other options we had at the time, we were even considering EU servers to join. Also our prime time is between EU and NA, being EU time frame our worst at SoS in my opinion =/

It is too bad that SoS was geared up more for this week's matchup than the other two servers. They finally make their way into tier 1 three months after launch with the orb being gone now and no more turtling. You guys are kind of late to the party, but welcome to tier 1!

I heard someone from SBI already has the new dungeon backpack so I'm sure you will see more of the two servers next week than you did this week. But, again, welcome to tier 1, finally!

No server will be number one forever. People have gotten bored before the event came out and let's not forget that this is a tier 1 fight three months after launch with no orbs, no turtles.

SBI and JQ have been there done that.

If you think turtles had that much of effect on matches, then you sir are wrong. An organized group of people can easily take down one. Also an unorganized turtle was a laugh.

Personally, I'm a PRX fanboy since Warhammer where we fought them often. They are very skilled Gamers and an excellent challenge.Great to see such great guilds in Tier One. I knew all along that they would get here again. If you don't know how to focus fire quickly as a group, then PRX will smoke you.
JQ and SOS both deserve to be here and we are happy to have them.
Concerning long time SBI guilds leaving SBI, I don't think that will happen, we have been together for a long time and it's a great community. Great fights are what we yearn for and we have that win or lose.

How many fractals does it take for that?

Two.

You get a drop from a boss any random mob, then you put about 15-75 gold's worth of materials in the mystic forge.

Think he's talking about the ones that cost 1500 fractal pieces.

Yup...  same here.  I haven't done my PvE contents.  My characters are all leveled up during WvWvW.  I was burnt out from facing off with SOR and IOJ for the past few weeks.  I'm sure many people were as well.  Oh, btw, if you have time, checkout JP in EB to see who has the bulk in there camping it...  I'm just impressed to see organized guild teams not helping out in the field but busy setting up siege and all in JP.  Makes you wonder now eh?

I don't have time to do the JP as I find it remotely useless and another deterrent to WvWvW. I mainly focus my attention on driving away the invaders that come to SBI BL causing havoc :D.

The only PvE I do is kill Sentry and NPC that guard the supply camp and keep.

If people find it fun to camp JP then it up them. The paid for the game they play how they want to and i don't care.

Tough night so far for SoS, we're getting pushed around on the SBI and JQ borderlands.

Showing botters how to ply in APB... Kind of disappointed in GW2 right now and their lack of support for Wv3. Haven't logged on at all, hard too with all the lag and culling. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Except not every server in this matchup didn't just enter tier 1. There's a difference from a server just getting into tier 1 having something to prove and the motivation to drive people away from PvE (see: yelling) for a week to make their mark in WvW than two servers who have been there and done that. So yeah, It's a fact every big guild that does WvW on JQ was doing PvE. I know because I'm looking at it right now. I know because it happened during Halloween. These are facts.

Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up along with other religious holidays. All sides will be seeing a numbers drop, this is fact.

Sorry playboy, I'm still trying to figure out where the 'bad sportsmanship' is in my posts.

GG

The butthurt brigade has finally showed up. Just like it did in our IoJ match-up when we moved up from Tier 3. If you knew all this was going to happen why all the trash talk at the start of the match? Go read the first few pages it's filled with predictions that we would be in 3rd place by Wednesday, making excuses that we got 2v1'd.

Now you are playing the "holiday" and "something to prove" card? Excuses coming out the wood work! And that's not even mentioning how you have conveniently transitioned from "midweek comeback" to "we'll fight you next week?"

Really stings doesn't it? acting all high and mighty and not being able to back it up.

Can some of the SoS posters keep a lid on it? We haven't won anything yet, it doesn't matter what anyone says about us, actions speak louder than words, let your performance in WvW do the talking. The last thing you want to do is rile up your opponents  and give them motivation to beat us, trust me on that one.

Props to both SBI and JQ, I was in EB for the EU primetime last night and while we got 2v1'd, we brought it on our selves. It was intense and tough fighting, looking forward to the rest of this match up and the following weeks after :)

Meh, I was trying to rile them up so that they would try and put up a decent fight.  I was expecting T1 to be tougher.  T2 with SoR was a lot more of a challenge.  I just hope we can drop one of these servers to T2 so we can get Blackgate next week.  I would hate to have a 2nd week of this lame matchup.

Where have you been fighting this whole time? There is nothing about this match up that's lame.

We haven't won anything, scores can swing by 70k within the space of 3 days, we've experienced it first hand on both ends. As for expecting it to be tougher, if anything this has proved that Tier 2 is almost at an equal standard.

Better to save the smack for after a match or three, when we've seen where everyone stands.  There's no need to call out the goalpost-moving, everyone sees it.

It's not skewed. There is no new pve content dragging people away (especially not the more notorious SBI smack talkers, Thanks guys for logging in and backing up your bravado). There is no holiday this week that will compel people to spend time with their families. There are no extra hours to be worked for the big retail carnival on Friday. There is no other game that came out for people to play. The game hoppers aren't getting bored with GW2. There has never been a week where a server just didn't log in.

SoS is just that *ing bad ass.

Don't believe me? Just ask them.

You forgot to mention the price of bananas, that always takes a beating after the hurricane season and if people spend less time eating bananas, they'll spend more time eating other fruits, detracting their play time from WvW :P

I don't know where you are pulling 70k from, but I get what you are saying.  I know SoS and their weekday crew.   SBI and JQQ have no hope.  I realize you are just trying to rally the troops so that they don't think this is in the bag and become complacent.  My opinion is that we should take it easy until they actually start gaining ground against us.  We have increased the score every day so far.  The IOJ weekday comeback doesn't work against us because WM cannot PvDoor.  I am sure WM will try a Thanksgiving all nighter since it is not one of their holidays, but we will be there.  No need to get too worked up over this match.  The real T1 servers are SoS, BG and SoR.  We just need to wait for ELO to catch up.

What the hell do I know guys? I was just covering all the words put in my mouth that weren't the typical 2v1 type BS.

The bottom line is that there are a lot of reasons why SBI isn't performing like usual. Personally, I couldn't tell you exactly why because I really do think it's a combination of different things. Do these things affect only SBI? I highly doubt it. It's obvious that for whatever reason people just aren't playing. If I'm lying and SBI, as a server, are playing with their typical numbers and skill level that is the norm, we can just ask JQ. We've been in matches with those guys for quite a while, they should know.

The thing is that you and JQ have been "playing with eachother" for weeks now.  You have become complacent with eachother.   SoS  doesn't play the game you are familiar with.  That is why you guys are now coming up with excuses.  As if those excuses don't effect all of the other servers.  Sheer arrogance.

I lol'd. Blackgate guilds transfer to SoS and all of a sudden it's "SoS doesn't play the game you are familiar with."
Plus, no one has more experience playing against ex-TA than SBI.
