From what i heard it is:

1 vial of condensed mist essence
50 ectoes
40 crystals
250 t6 fine crafting materials

The stats change depending on what t6 items you use. No idea if the stat combinations are the same as the crafted gear.

Oh great, so the zerker one only costs 70g. And I thought the guild backpack was a little pricy.

50-70g to be able to progress in the dungeon?

Talk about an incentive to buy gems :)

It's a good thing I preemptively bought T6 materials before the did the massive bot banning that caused the prices to "go back to the they were at originally." Setting me back on my long-term legendary goal but I'll see a higher stat increase with these back slots than the weapon itself anyways.

This is wrong on many levels. Starting with the avatar and working down to the incredible ease there is making money in that dungeon AND being able to craft these things being added to the game in time.

Well the vials of mist essence are easy to get. I already have 4 after getting to level 5 in the dungeon (though all 4 of them were gotten in level 1 and 2)

Could you elaborate maybe?

Are you saying that the FOTM is some kind of super Farm?  ... As in trivializing all the other previous zones/dungeons in the game and the rewards keep getting better the further you get into it??

Ever since the dungeons getting better loot (Thank God), rares are a pretty common drop now. Exotic drops are the same as the old rare drop rate. And this is someone with no magic find gear. I'm against it on principle ESPECIALLY in dungeons.

Now, with the Fractal dungeons, I noticed that the drop rate is slightly higher and definitely of a better quality. From doing the fractals, I've managed to make enough money to stock up for the future. I'm not buying any Ascended stuff yet. I'm waiting to see how that plays out. But from salvaging unwanted rares that have dropped over the past few hours of doing that dungeon, I've got the 50 ectos sorted.

People are very quick to forget that you can actually live off the land. You don't need things NOW! You don't need to start panic buying gems and gold! Just play the game and enjoy it and things will come to you naturally. It's this rushing mentality that whips people into a frenzy. And I, for one, am loving the variety of the Fractals and am playing it for the sake of enjoyment. Money just happens regardless.

You're not really answering the question(s).   Did I ask it in too much of a bias stance?  Do I need to rephrase it?

Regardless of how easy/ hard it is to make gold. The fact that you need anywhere near 70g for a single accessory is ludicrous. Especially when we're used to it being 2-3g. And "living off the land" just means, instead of making money by selling things in TP, you are hoarding items instead. You're not saving any money by doing so. It's all relative.

I don't think anyone can argue that this game is still casual friendly.

70g for the berserker bag? And they told me I wouldn't have to grind for my gear. Nice ****ing lie.

Now, I have played the game since the first beta and even if you'd put together all the gold I have made, it would be less than 70. This is simply because I don't grind, and because I try to enjoy every moment I waste in computer games.

This is starting to be so retarted that I'll just give up the pve and wvw aspects of the game for good, and only do some spvp every now and then.

Every update gw2 becomes less like gw1 and more like wow. My alarm bells should have ringed when they introducted the item mall. And they did, I just didn't listen to them.

70g is pretty outrageous. Surely that is just for the skin and there is a cheaper ascended back piece somewhere.

Sitting on the couch waiting for a promise is not the way to go. Sure they said you wouldn't have to grind, but if you were a first beta player, then you'd know every dungeon would reward you a gear piece, which they scrapped for Tokens to extend the longevity of the game. You've been playing for so long how did you not even grind. You also have to consider that this update is recent as in new. Wait until all this becomes the norm. Where's the hurry in getting the best gear if you're not gonna do anything about it. All the gold I would have made since the start was over or close to 400G.

Just because you've had 400 gold doesn't mean everyone's made that much. I've been playing since day one and only have 30 gold after outfitting one level 80 with exotics. And most of that set was bought with karma. The point is that this was supposed to be a casual friendly game. Where it took a reasonable amount of time to get outfitted with the highest tier armor. Exotics was in a good place for that philosophy. Ascendent armor with it's high gold/materials requirement as it stands, does not.

guys guys. don't be oblivious to the fact that 250 vials of powerful blood costs 60-70g in the current market.

plus the ectos.. about 11-13g.

70-80g for the backpiece?

so how about for the rest of the items that will eventually put in game?

think.

Dungeon items have the same stats as all exotics. If you just casually play through the game, gathering materials, doing events and such, you can easily get a full set of exotics. That's what I did.
I may not have much gold, but I do have several stacks of honor badges from WvW because thats the game mode I like most, not grind. Too bad these badges are so useless.
