The ancient karka spawned right below the claw island portage waypoint. Which is super far away from the event circle. It keeps resetting and people won't move to the right area so we can kill it. Anet seriously? Can't even put the mob in the right spawn point? I invited two friends and this is the most embarrassing thing that can possibly happen because now we are just standing at the event place and waiting for people to stop hitting the mob so it will walk to the right place.

I was there. For this to happen to a one-time event is a travesty. Knowing Anet's track record, I highly doubt they'll give those who were unfortunate enough to be in that overflow server another chance at this event. Wish they'd prove me wrong, but I doubt they will. They don't care about correcting their own mistakes even for a small group of players. They don't want to "look bad."

At least you got an event to fail. The event wouldn't even launch in the overflow I was in.

Be happy you got an event. Nothing happened on my server, the boat just randomly popped up. No fight, nothing.

I'm more embarrassed than pissed. I mean this game has so much potential and it took me so much time to persuade my college friends to try it out (busy people). And then the epic event bugged out o.o.....at least they enjoyed other parts of the game.

Did we also need to be in the 'right' timezone to catch the event? Some of us folk in certain parts of the world probably miss these all the time. I didn't even invite any friends to preview this game. Don't get me wrong, I like the game. A lot. And after going through the fractal dungeons I think they did a fantastic job out of it. The new ascended gear and hints at a gear threadmill are just a severe turn off for me, but I do accept this is what the future of the game is going to be like. Anet definitely has the impossible task of keeping everyone completely contented, but in general and for the most part, I think most of us are...it keeps us playing the game.

They do tend to have all their events around PST 12pm. I know it sucks since most of my friends in hong kong had to stay up for the events since it is 4am there. They stayed up yesterday for the laggest event and then today for the event that didn't really happen.
