I know they drop in fractals but now with more precursors in peoples hands it will be interesting to see how the whole market it changed now.
I feel like precursors will go back up eventually. Then you have the t6 mats, the lodestones etc.
It might even things out as there are some materials that really get no love. I think globs of ectos will just keep rising though. Interesting to see what happens with lodestones.
Think things will go down or up in price as a whole over the next few days?
More precursors in peoples hands = Prices up?

Well, the increased droprate didn't really lower the price. This event did but it was a one-time only thing so i expect them to rise again.

Not much will change. After the event the prices went down, but since this was a one-time event they will be up, where they were before quite soon.
However, if ANet has implemented some changes to the drop rates in generall, this could affect prices in the long term.

They will go back up. Logic dictates that the few rich players simply buy the precursors at half or more price then sell them at the original. It's what I would do, and what everyone with an eye for the market would do. The only thing acomplished here is to deepen the pockets of the already rich players out there, essentially handing them more monopoly on the Precursor market.

Market got too flooded so prices will never reach where they were, especially with the higher drop rates to exotics now. People knew this, so they were selling their precursors as fast as possible, quickly lowballing eachother over and over and over again. At some point, you can imagine they kept lowballing just to get it quickly sold until they sold the precursors below their actual value, so the prices should rise again later to it's accurate value. Probably not much though.

Pretty much every named exo got slashed to a third of its value or less. Pretty retarded. Prices returned to what they were with bots around.

But if prices hold where they are now I'll only make a ~50% mark up, ~25% profit. That's not exactly massive returns considering this is a one time thing.

Rich players will just buy them at a reduced price and then sell it again at original or higher price

I was lucky to get a Dusk from the caca but don't have the gold to list it, so who knows how many others are in that position too. This factor might have a longer term impact on prices as the precursors continue to dribble onto the market over time.
I'm loathe to sell mine at a stupid price knowing someone who is already rich will benefit, but as a casual player I'm not too fussed about maximizing profit as the volume of gold I could get anyway changes the game's landscape completely for me.
