Is anyone else struggling with the lack of diversity in the medium armor lineup?  I feel like every armor set has the same sillouette (i.e. trenchcoat) and none of them really fit my character.

I'm a male human ranger.  I would like to look like a ranger.  Not a pirate, or a cowboy, or a super hero, or a samurai, or even a walking quilted blanket.  I can't believe this game is so visually stunning, yet so limited in armor choice.  Every medium armor is basically a re-skin of another.

Is there a profession-specific line of armor I may be missing?  Or has anyone heard of plans to expand armor choices?

Obviously this is subjective, but I feel as though I'm forced to wear ugly armor and play a profession/race I enjoy, or find visually appealing armor and play a profession/race I can't stand.

WTB "for the looks" armor tab with no armor class restrictions.
Much more fun for everyone and much more loot to go for.

Soldiers are the only classes that work in GW2 - both in terms of how they play and how they look. Everyone else, all 6 other classes, are just a giant mess.

I love the female Duelist set on my thief. It looks very "thiefy" but it looks odd on my ranger. I would prefer something more "rangery" but since everything else looks like crap I ended up with the Duelist set on her, too.

Even something along the lines of Errol Flynn in  Robin Hood wouldn't be all that bad. Something people living out in the woods in primitive times might wear.

Well medium armors are terrible and your character's a male so  your armors REALLY suck. Don't feel bad though every male cloth wearer feels the same way, Anet only bothered to put effort into designing heavy armor and female cloth armor because dat primary demographic

the Leather set (150-225) L40 crafted armor looks extremely ranger to me.  perhaps you havent reached that level yet?  or perhaps this is all subject to opinion?

The named medium armor set (Zho's, Ryena's, the others...) look good with the right dye combo's.

The shoulders, coat and gloves are Zho's.

Absolutely!  I'm level 61 and that has been, by far, the best option available.  It's just disapointing to think that I'm going to hit my gear climax at level 40.

I find that set on a female human horrible...  I love it on the Asuran and Charr though!  (don't know how it looks on Sylvari or Norn)

I definitely like this.  But, for me as a ranger, it doesn't look like something I should be wearing while becoming one with nature and sneaking through a forest.  It's a bit too militant.

I was expecting options more along the line of this for ranger.

I may be completely missing something, but there is nothing even remotely close to this.  And I would expect that as I progress through levels, my armor would evolve to become a more polished and powerful-looking version of this.
