"A golem named BUY-4373, an NPC named Subdirector Blingg, and a jumping puzzle named Under New Management."

South Sun Cove waypoints are "Lion" and "Pride", maybe referring to the removed "Lion" statue in Lion's Arch and now replaced by wooden rubbles  (Can an amateur (or pro) cryptanalyst decipher the inscriptions (4 letter, 4 letter, 2 letter, 7 letter))? Lion Pride maybe refers to an inside group that is now dedicated to fight the evil powers of the Karkas/Crabs (maybe another symbolism).

http://en.wikipedia..../Crab_mentality (The analogy in human behavior is that members of a group will attempt to "pull down" (negate or diminish the importance of) any member who achieves success beyond the others, out of envy,[4] conspiracy or competitive feelings.)

Nexon being the crabs that pull down the projected success of GW2.

And the only way to achieve victory if "The Lion Pride installs the Lion in Lion's Arch again."

Prolly it was Nexon who insisted the Lion to be removed because of i dont know what.

I would rather roleplay a conspiracy theorist than to mindlessly grind items and punish myself for months.

The lion statue says (and had said before the Mad King event) "from ruin we prosper." It was changed in Halloween to something else, and now they changed it back.

I get that BUY and Blingg refer to money and/or expensive things, but I don't get why people include "Under New Management" in with them.

A golem named BUY-4373, an NPC named Subdirector Blingg, and a jumping puzzle named Under New Management.
I’m sorry, but those references are too coincidental to just be funny. Thanks for letting us know, ANet.
It gets better.
From the Wiki: Subdirector Blingg’s objective is to “intimidate Subdirector Noll.” Noll means head or top of head. I think we all know what Blingg means. The word intimidate is nowhere else in the wiki, except to describe the cripple ability of some ranger pets.
Googled 4373 and find that it is a reference to a MS security error relating to remote attacks, and also assigned to a software vulernability code that allowed attackers to execute arbitrary code.
It seems Nexon, which is known as a greedy company and bought a quote in NCSoft, pushed to have at least one of their people manage monetization in ANet.
Also the acronym for the new dungeon is Flavor of the Month (FotM).

I'll just add an addendum. I also think that if this was imposed on them from on high (NCSoft/Nexon)  there would be a few who would resign in protest and out of professional and personal integrity. We'll just have to see how things shake out structually at Anet. Not that we can do much but watch anyway

There's actually been a few funny conspiracy theories out there. The one where Anet purposely lowered the price on the karma weapons to catch out people who did it at an earlier vendor was pretty good.

I was saying 'Boo-urns'
It's okay to enjoy crap if you're willing to admit it's crap.
Every patch is like ArenaNet walking out onto the stage of the International Don't Kitten Up Championship, and then proceeding to shiv itself in the stomach 30 times while screaming "IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!"

What if ANet are in a contract of some sort with Nexon that prevents them from publicly speaking about their change of direction coming from higher ups? I think it's fully plausible that Nexon are the ones behind the more monetary stance of GW2 lately, and ANet are trying to reach out to the players with messages in-game to let us know that all the recent changes aren't wholly of their own will.

Crazy, but plausible. Especially given all the points OP raises.

Karka is actually Hindi and it means crab.

In Jyotisha Astrology

Karka(cancer) and Simha (Leo) are opposites.

Karka's ruling planet is the Moon and its element is water
Simha's ruling planet is the Sun and its element is fire

Lion Pride versus The Crabs? Good versus Evil? Light versus Darkness?

Yeah, Lion Pride versus the Karkas.

For what's it worth I'll throw some numbers to spice things up.

Nexon bought NCsoft at 250,000 South Korean Won each in June (source).

NCsoft is now trading at a value of 164,000 South Korean Won (chart).

This means that Nexon has a 34.4% paper loss on its NCsoft investment. Sounds wonderful?

You should stop reading so much into this. People spouting crazy nonsense are commonly accepted as nutcases. You're not a nutcase, are you? You all make the mistake to blame NCsoft and/or Nexon for everything considered bad that makes it into Guild Wars 2. Yet, if something good were to happen you'd praise ArenaNet, instantly abandoning the thought of them still being forced into doing this. It's the same case with WoW players, they always blame everything bad on Activision and everything good gets a "Blizzard is awesome!" stamp on it. They are one and the same company. This is exactly what ArenaNet wants you to think. NCsoft and Nexon don't care about their reputation while ArenaNet does. It's only natural for them to instil their players with these kind of thoughts. Take off the tin foil hats and accept things the way they are.
