General
  • Removed dynamic leveling up for players in Southsun Cove and Lion’s Arch.
  • Fixed a bug that caused vendors in Canach Folly to be missing.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the bridge between Driftglass Springs and Dappled Shores to be missing.
  • Fixed a bug that caused waypoints in Southsun Cove to be intermittently inactive.
  • Fixed a bug that caused invulnerable event karka to spawn on the beach.
  • Added a champion karka to guard the rich orichalcum node in the karka hive.
  • Removed the investigation NPCs from Lost Shores Phase 1.
PvP
  • Fixed a bug with random gem rewards in paid tournaments.
  • Set tournament respawn timers to static per-player timers instead of wave-based timers.

Sigh, I knew it wouldn't last long. Parked all my low-lvl characters there, finally a use for those Black Lion pickaxes... No idea why Anet has such a "You're not allowed to make money"-mentality. It's already hard enough to maneuver low level characters there.

Edit: Ah, no matter. If you stand on the wooden beam next to the ore vein, you can mine it and the Karka won't attack you. If it has already targeted you, get on the beam and switch to character selection for a second.

Watch out for other players though, if it attacks those, you might get hit by the AoE.

And it is a problem for it to be hard to maneuver low level characters in a LEVEL 80 zone?
How easy is it to maneuver a low level character in Cursed Shore?

So hard that the ore nodes don't require additional guards.

All (or at least most) Rich nodes are protected by guards though. Why should this be any different?

I thought they would remove the rich orichalcum vein after the lost shores event. The patch notes sound like we get it permanently at a fixed location. Nice!

True, a thief or mesmer can be useful to help people.stealth near the node.

Thats what i've noticed with alot of rich ore nods. It shouldnt be different any yet.

They forgot to include:

* Thought about rolling back LoS changes that cause half of Mesmer's clones to fail until we could figure out how to make the fix work without crippling Mesmers, but decided to just leave it until the big December update.

I just did it, the ori is still farmable if no one is around or you can get someone to hit and target them for a bit while you are mining for it. =P

Dude... how are you level 38 but somehow using a mining pick that requires you to be level 60?
