Hello,

since the price of the precursors got pretty low, i decided to get my ranger Rodgort and Frostfang.

I don't have much materials at the moment and i don't know in which order it would be the most efficiently way to obtain them.

I thought of the following:

• World Completiton: Because while doing this, i get loot, gold, Karma, Mats, SP and Coins. Also i can mine all the Wood/Ore spots i get on my way (and Ghost Pepper if i find them)
  
  
• Running CoF and HotW: While doing this, i get the tokens i need and also Loot, gold, karma, Mats and SP‘s
  
  
• Farming Fractals: I get very good loot, Karma and tokens which i can use to buy Obsidian Shards so i need less Karma farming (or do we get DR here too?). I think i‘ll do this until i got 400 SP‘s (for 2 Bloodstone Shards) and all the Obsidian Shards i need for Gift of Mastery
  
  
• Again farming Fractals

After all that, i still need lots of Shards for the Clovers.
Also i think i‘ll get more money/ectos from the loot there then in Orr(?)

What do you think of my plan?
What could I do better?
If you already got a Legendary, in which order did you do obtain the things?

Most important part is the daily & monthly achievements. Keep all the Jugs and use them with a karma booster. Apart from that your approach seems efficient although I'd probably mix it up a bit because it might become boring to do world completion and nothing else, then running CoF & HotW and nothing else and so on.

I would focus Clovers 1st, becouse you have a chance to get T6 mats... damn Balthazar temple!

Work on the gift of fortune first. That is the hardest thing for all legendaries, you will need ~500 globs (includes the ones for the 77mystic clovers), ~1500 Philosopher stones/250 crystals(~150skill points), ~250 obisdian shards,  and 250 of all t6 crafting materials.  All of the mats for the gift of fortune are rare lucky based drops and are tedious to farm. Use your karma as a timeline it is the approximate time you should be done with your legendary. Everything else you can obtain slowly.

My personal list for Bolt:

1) World completion, 500 badges, getting the 2 recipes, Gift of Metal, Gift of Ascalon, because they are tasks that either require a lesser amount of farming (10g a recipe) or things that I can do little by little each day without focusing to much on it (farming orichalcum and EB jumping puzzle). I actually finished that point.
2) Clovers, why? Because it can give me a significant portion of everything else I could need from this point, from lodestone to gossamer, and also T6 mats. Also, once I have my clovers, I know exactly how much Karma I have left to get since I only need 250 more obsidian.
3) Icy Runestones, getting one or 2 per day, more if I ever get lucky. Stock up on ectoplasm and start selling them if I get more than 250 (since I won't need more), speeding the Icy Runestone acquiring process
4) Charged lodestones, that will be a pain, then finishing the Gift of Lightning if I still miss some parts
5) Zap.

Well that was my original list. In fact, seeing how precursors dropped in price, I asked a guildie to get Zap for me (he was hell lucky with the forge and got multiple 30g+ corrupted exotics). He got it for 95g.

Also, now I'm more like playing my alts because I don't want to burn myself up to the legendary grind. So it'll take time.

I don't expect to finish Bolt before January but it's fine for me.

Daily and monthly goes while playing.
I don't find wold completation boring, there is so much to do and it all is fun to me
But you're probably right with mixing it up when it becomes too boring.

That's a good point, what would you say is the most effective way to do so?
Doing Fractals for Drops to Salvage for Ectos?
I could get Obsidian Shards from doing them too, so i'd think it's a pretty good way.

I'd say it's more efficient (although probably more boring) to farm penitent/shelter with maximum magic find gear. You should get more rare drops imo. Didn't do any real testing but I used to get somewhere between 5-10 rare drops / hour while doing those events. You could probably manage an equal amount of rares while doing fractals but it depends on your group (most PUGs aren't very fast).

Yea that is about right 5-10 rares per hour when farming the tunnel or any mob zerg event. It is very boring doing so that is why I am to the point where I am just buying cheap rares for globs. I did not expect the price of globs to increase so much, not many players are selling them. Looking on the Trade post buying 10-20 globs increases its price by 1s and it is not going down anytime soon.

i think i'll stay with fractals since i'm in a pretty big guild with many good players and we manage to do one level + bonus in under one hour (and the bonus does give even more rares)
also it's more fun imo because it's new and i haven't seen all fractals yet

I'm on the process to finish my second legendary. Everything depends what you want to reach 1st. Choose a gift and see the relation with others.

I for myself have chosen to make the Clovers 1st on both of them. Mystic clovers require Karma, "ectos", mystic coins and skill points. After this last patch Fractals of the myst was implemented in which you can get obsidian shards through Fractals relic. So I've tested it out.

You in fact drop many rares and occasionally exotics in which you can salvage for ectos or sell ( the rares only since the exotics are bound if not mistaken), you drop some cores out of some bags, t6 mats etc...

Is it worth it? After testing it out for a few hours ( lets say over 30 hours) I returned to farm Cursed Shore. Fractals is fun, gets exciting over lvls, with the agony things become challenging, you get things you want but since the objective here are the Mystic clovers. CS is the best option. You get karma, "ectos", gold, T6 mats and fast skill points. If you have time sure do the fractals, though you'll reach your objective faster by farming CS.

I will use what I've done before. Use the dungeon as a reliever from the farming hours ( cores and lodestones purposes ), farm the gold, "ectos" and karma in CS, have fun and farm in Fractals with guildies, T6 mats on the appropriate mobs.

Thanks for your answer.
I think i'll do both of them, depending on where i can find some people for in my guild.
CS was always pretty boring for me, so i might end up doing Fractals more.
Afaik you can even buy a Skillpoint for Relicts(?)
Only thing really missing would be the Karma, but after getting enough Dailys and the Monthly i guess Karma Booster + all Liquid Karma Cans will be a real boost.

At the moment i'm mostly doing fractals and i think i'll now just do a mix between dungeon, fractals and CS
(and WvW JP's after i log in, that should fill the badges in a month or so)

Answered to my question, my suggestion is farm fractals, when done with other mats, leave map completition as last thing left.

Yes, i do have them both.
I'm not sure what exactly you wanted to say.
Should i farm fractals for other mats or farm them after i'm done with other mats?
