Arah farm is back, just much worse.

I'm opening this thread to discuss the effect of the november the 15th dungeon update (http://wiki.guildwar...ki/Game_updates).
I actually love the update in itself as it made many dungeons look much more appealing and enjoyable to me.
What I actually find insane here is his effect on the Arah dungeon.
I'm sure we all remember the old Arah farm where a party used to kill the 1st two bosses in Forgotten path in 4-5 mins to get dungeon tokens.
After that update, the two bosses now drop 10 silver coins each (14 with an omnomberry bar) and one Bags of Wondrous Goods each, which contains 3 dungeon tokens, a Drop of Liquid Karma (400 karma with no karma booster) and a Bag of Gold (2-3.5 silver coins).
This means that in 30 mins a party can do 7 runs, gaining 28x7 + 6x7= 2.38 gold coins, 5.6k karma (again, without considering any booster) and 42 tokens. This not including the chest the bosses spawn when killed, and the chance they have to drop a rare accessory with an exquisite jewel in it which is worth 40-50 silver coins in the tp.
The old farm was nerfed because Aned didnt like the way people were farming this dungeon, what about this?
I'm not saying this hoping they remove the update, but they should think about stopping this farm, for example removing the loot from those too bosses and adding it to the final chest.
Thoughts?

Could be worse, had a bag of gold a week or two ago and I had 5 copper :) which was weird since it was the first and only time I saw those bags before the update.

Well if everything is moved to the last boss then players would complain they get nothing for their effort if they fail half-way through, just like before the patch.

The same way they "fixed" the mesmer, thief and engineer.

*topic* I've grown weary of hearing about stuff like this after the fact. I may as well take advantage of this before they bork all dungeons across the board reduce the rewards.

"Bags of Wondrous Goods" aren't a guaranteed drop.  They have a good chance, but they aren't consistent and if anet was smart about it they would stop dropping if bosses are being killed too quickly.

OMG!! how do you manage to kill the bosses so fast, me and my guild cant even get past those two in less than 15 mins and without spending loads of money in repairs. At least the money from the chest pay us back for the broken armor PLEASE ANET dont change this!!

You're right, I did 10 runs of that before getting bored, and I received 19 bags out of 20 bosses, so I guess the chance is 95% or so.

My CoE runs since the patch suggest its lower than that, but I have a smaller sample size (four bags across however many chances three CoE paths offered).

You're right, Arah farm is now much worse. All thanks to your post, the players that frequent this forum now know of this. And now it spreads.

I was so happy arah farmers just left their hope to steal arah tokens. Few days, they are all back, with token farm+karma+new drop. Just pathetic. Imagine if they add fractals too..

What's the big deal about arah farming? tokens are account bound, the rewards aren't spectacular and are soulbound on acquire, and the gear is just gear that you can get anywhere else (besides the new dungeon-specific skins)....it's no different than farming anywhere else. It doesn't affect you at all. No dungeon armor is exclusive enough to worry about.

Arah is still the hardest dungeon, wear arah fullset like mine is meant to be for a worthy player who mastered the content, knowing every single bit of that place. At least the last thing to be proud as a good gamer. Looking a DEzerg tokenfarmer playing like a noob, wearing a fullset, is just pathetic and devalue the meaning of all my weeks wasted playing arah without exploits/cheats. I mean, my last pug i had a thief with fullset arah armor, we was doing a run, i asked him to use refuge. Maybe you don't believe me, i had to explain him what refuge was and how to use it.. ffs.. :zzz:
No more or less than cof armors, are they pro? Nah, every new dinged 80 has one in a week. Noone care of them anymore.
At least, until now, the last thing not cheated is dungeon master, still proud to leave that title under my name, till last :zzz:

Oh, farm gold in arah? Well, if anet made that way, lets all grab as much $ as much as possible because, it is not our fault and it is their choice. We know they will nerf it. We know they will not mass ban everyone because a large number will be perm banned and they will lose customers(which they had already done). Anyway this isnt an abuse anyway since a dungeon is a dungeon and a person can decide any method of gaining money because, it is our choices. If Anet wants to control all stuff, they can might as well be the PRC China.

I gave up on their faith already.

Proud. What you expect, pride comes before downfall.
token farmers will always be here. They created the dungeon. They have no reason to control people over it. After all, the arah dungeon karma stuff cant be traded.

BTW, bag of gold gives copper/silver? What kind of lunacy is this. Might as well rename it as Bag of Coppers. Well, bag of skritt shinies sound good too.

Well luke i think you're damn right but i also think that is Anet fault: they know what will happen if they introduce a "token drop" from bosses, i think that's a boring way to play but if i have short time to play this might be the only way i have to collect tokens, i think that if the bag of lies (xD) doesn't drop karma and gold would be better, only tokens to allow everyone have the armor they want. I don't think that armor is a good way to judge if a player is good or not...

Arah being about skill? Yeah, if you think anyone can develop a skill from rubbing their faces with a cheese grater. That place is a hellhole and now I know a good way of sparing me from that torment. Token farming here I come.

Not sure why they didn't just name it a "Bag of Coins" or a "coin purse" instead of a bag of gold?  That was very stupid, I remember the first time I got one I was expecting gold and I got 2 silver!

And the Arah gate event, which is finaly working on my world. Now people are repeating it without finishing, just to farm. Now I'm being griffed in a different way. I can not enter Arah, this time not because its bugged, but because people are not letting me... Ins't that wonderful.
REMOVE THE DAMN GATES FROM THE DUNGEON ENTRANCE!!!

People farm tokens because anet decided to add artificial time gates to acquiring dungeon armor instead of the promised 1 armor piece per run. If anet adds a farm to gate people from rewards then people will farm it in the most efficient way possible.
