anyone find any hints, new npcs, etc that mention anything about any precursors?

is that even in the game yet?

i won't wonder if this scavenger hunt will require you to turn over 2000 vials of powerful blood and 1000 corrupted lodestone to an npc to carry on.

It's not in the game yet, the scavenger hunt is still in development.

Can you give more info on the scavenger hunt that are you referring to?  Is there any official info about this posted anywhere?

Oh was a fake info 1 of their staff gave us, telling us "Maybe" they will plan "something like a scavenger hunt". Wouldn't surprise me if months pass and noone mention it anymore.

Oh, months. Maybe. I see. If you ever attempted something programming, you should know sometimes things just don't work. Or sometimes, the coordinator say "Scavenger what? Forget it". And months passed, community is busy angry about something else, a shrugs and delete. Same happened with the enemy guild npc controlled. Amazing content incoming with the halloween update. Just deleted ;)

I really, really, hope not. Legendaries are not supposed to be easy. They're supposed to take commitment, and effort. They've already reduced the farming needed. Lodes are cheaper, karma drops from dailies and dungeons, precursors are cheap, etc.

I don't see how adding a scavenger hunt that takes a fixed amount of effort makes them any easier than someone getting lucky and getting it as a drop... obtaining the precursor has always been about luck, not gold (unless you were filthy rich).

Months and months. Years even. If ever. This is one of those things Ill be surprised if it shows up after all the expansion are done and theyre working on GW3 :P

Because not everybody is lucky...  And at least you're actually working towards a price you know will be rewarded instead of a price that might be rewarded.

Some people looted their precursors as regular mob drops before they even hit 80. At that point it's safe to say that any sense of 'effort' you think the precursor might be worth is already invalidated.

Currently legendaries are nothing but a grind for mats or gold. The scavenger hunt is intended to make them a little more interesting to obtain and make them feel like you had to DO something legendary for them. They're currently nothing but a legendary grind.

This is really just about precursors, not legendaries.  The amount of grind in a legendary will still be plenty, I assure you.

They've already put them in three times, and proven they can do it (just need better testing and design practices).  It just takes time to put them in, especially if there's only a few people working on them (they have other things to do, you know).

Personally I think Legendaries should have been an epic quest from the get go.

And by "enemy guild NPC", if you're talking about Modus Sceleris, it's already in.

Exactly, they take Commitment and effort, not pure damn luck like it is at the moment.
