Hey guys,

For the longest time, up until 80, I was playing with your standard Soldier/Berserker Dagger/Dagger and occassional Shortbow Condition setup. However, after hitting Orr and dungeons and realizing that my Backstabs required me getting "close" to the enemy (a bad thing), I decided to pursue alternative methods. Let's keep the Soldier armor, since Vit and Toughness are great, I thought, and look into Condition Damage as a potential way to beef up my damage package. Outside of Dagger/Dagger, Pistol/Dagger seemed to offer the best utility in terms of bleed availability, so I decided to go with that. Shortbow was taken for the Poison Field -which, if whatever build I came up with took 15 Deadly Arts, also doubled as a significant source of Weakness. I have the first "element" of this build in the form of a Carrion Legionnaire Sidearm of Corruption (Lovely pistol, even if the knife blades are a bit impractical). I'm thinking of purchasing a dagger of a similar kind (I like having matching set bonuses). My Jewelry will either be Coral or Chrysocola, I haven't really decided yet.

And that's where I pretty much come up short. I really don't have any other ideas for, well, anything. I'm not sure what Utilities would be best to take - I want to say Hide in Shadows for extra Stealth, Shadow Refuge, Signet of Shadows and Signet of Agility (My default) but I'm thinking SoA might be better served by something else. Elite, I'm debating Thieves' Guild or Basilisk Venom.

Traits are equally confusing. I want to invest heavily in Trickery for Condition Damage and some nice Steal buffs, but I also don't want to shirk Deadly Arts and at least one defensive tree - Acrobatics is my choice at the moment but I'm considering Shadow Arts since my build uses lots of Stealth. But what would be the best distribution? 30 DA, 20 SA, 20 Trickery? Something else entirely?

Just leaving this here in the hopes that someone can lend some expertise with a properly funcitoning Condition Build. Once I get it off the ground, I can see it offering a lot to dungeons and other situations - provided there's not a Warrior around.

I'd only go 15 into SA. The master SA traits are meh. The stealth on steal would be decent if the stealth wasn't broken before you get to land your attack 50% of the time.

Ah, okay. So... 30 DA, 15 SA and 25 Trickery?

here

15 trickery is best imo. 15 SA for meld with shadows and the +2 ini on stealth, and 15 acro for swiftness might on dodges, and 3 dodges.

25 deadly arts is all you need. The grandmaster traits are very meh.
