If you think they are balanced, can you please explain why you think so as I want to better understand the mechanics if I'm wrong.

I think getting 5 players to play at the same time is probably a bit difficult and you pretty much have to schedule specific times in order to get any decent gameplay. In WoW for example, the 5v5 bracket was the least populated one. People really loved 3v3 because of its balance and also 2v2. It's much easier to get 1 other or 2 other players and jump into ranked pvp. In addition to that, people would generally just do 2v2 until their 3rd logged in as an option. Are there any plans on introducing 2v2 or 3v3 brackets? I feel like those are much more appealing for casuals.
Are there any plans to introduce any visual rewards based on skill? For example if I'm in the top 5% of the best teams, can I get access to a visual reward such as a weapon or shoulders or maybe helmet that I could show off? Right now it feels more like a grind.
This is more of an advice that I learned from my WoW experience and I think it would help GW2 a lot. I did a lot of arena in WoW, seasons 1-9 and maxed out around 2400-2500 rating. I really enjoyed it and I did mostly 2v2s and 3v3s. I did 2v2s with a really good friend and when our 3rd would login which was often random, we would do 3v3. What I didn't like about the arena system was that you were stuck to a team. You had a personal rating that was recorded into that team you were part of, and if you left that team to go experiment another comp or just play some other 3v3 just for fun, you would lose your personal rating and would have to grind it up again. They fixed this issue in rated battlegrounds and made them much much more appealing to casuals. In rated battlegrounds you had a personal rating that was stuck to you and your performance and not on a specific team. So basically, I could login whenever, find a team of a similar personal rating and work on improving my own rating that way. I didn't have to commit to anything or schedule anything, I could just play on my own time and very often I would play with the same people. As much as I loved Arena in WoW, I haven't played tPvP in GW2 once. The reason I haven't even touched it and I think many others are in the same situation, is because if you make a team and play with it, you pretty much have to commit some time to it several days a week and if you can't, you risk wasting all that effort since you don't really get anything that you can keep. I really think a system similar to WoW's RBGs would help many casuals get more involved and it would allow them to work on improving their personal rating on their own time which is the great thing about this game in all other aspects. I know that I would personally login and play more if a system like that was implemented. So I guess a question here would be, are there any plans to make tPvP more casuals friendly?
Any plans for allowing the use of a legendary skin in sPvP? Acquiring a legendary weapon takes a long long time, I'm still working on mine and when I do get it I would really like to be able to show it off in sPvP too, just the skin.
I apologize in advanced if some of these things are already implemented. Like I said, I haven't touched tPvP yet, I do mostly WvWvW and occasionally sPvP. I love the PvP combat system in this game and how you can often avoid balance issues with a proper evade. It really feels like I'm in control of my character's faith and it pushes me to try and get better because I know how much of a difference it makes. Thanks for an awesome game!

1) Do you wish there were more than 10 skills? (this could be altered to, do you wish there were more than 3 utility skills / 5 weapon skills / etc.). I know what I want, but I'm interested in what they want.
2) What event in your life (either real life and/or gaming life) made you realize you were an elite sPVPer? Was it an event that you experienced alone, or in a group? Are there many little steps to being an elite sPVPer, or is there just one big step that takes you from a PvE scrub to elite sPvP? eg winning 1vs3, getting a m-m-m-m-monster kill, blowing your nose without a Kleenex, etc.
3) Does being an elite sPVPer in GW2 translate well into other games? What other games has it translated not-so-well into?
4) As an elite sPVPer and a role model, is alcohol overrated? (this one's courtesy of the Guru community)

We never only wanted EU teams; this was a question of availability and quality to ensure the best possible event. These teams have previously shown great interest in doing this style of event(s) and therefore we decided to pick those not only based on their exceptional experience but also their interest and efforts.

The US teams are scattered but Xee from PZ would of been a decent choice if not than Raytek, A member of PTC, etc. I just feel that it's going to be slightly off without any input from a US team.
Lowell from Super Squad - Great choice, SS was restarted on EU
Metor from eStars - Pretty good choice, they are a pretty cool EU team
Varee from Onibawan - Strong EU team
Xeph from Team Paradign - More of a community team
Avalor from Chieftain Ninja - Barely known

That's the purpose of "The Mist" they created separate instances to balance professions for Pve/WvW vs. Spvp. This is one of the huge reasons why if a MMO is really going to go eSports atm, it is GW2

what exactly is a "community team"?

This week’s Leaderboards for Qualifying Points has shown a huge inflation. More then all the other weeks combined. The minimum number QP to be on the leaderboard has gone from 22 to 55, while rank 1 has gone up from 189 to 361. In a few weeks, this will make reaching the QP leaderboard for a new team a colossal task. People want to be on top and need their achievements to be recognized. Isn’t this an issue itself in the sense it provides a counter-incentive for a new team to play paid tournaments? Does the QP system make you play less then you would with a ladder/ELO system?
2) Tournament Tickets @ J. Sharp
The current system promotes a “rich get richer, poor get poorer” type of environment. New teams will struggle with tournament tickets, while teams on the Leaderboard have already amassed thousands of gems and hundreds of tournament tickets. Isn’t this another stop for “new blood” to join the PVP scene? What are your ideas for encouraging more people to join Paid Tournaments?
3) Area of Effect Damage @ Players
What is your view on Area of Effect damage? As someone on the official forums stated : the team with the best AoE wins. Does it feel this way ? What are your thoughts on Epidemic centered teams?
4) Burst @ Players
The general impression of the community is that Time to kill is too low in GW2 and burst is to easy to setup with too few risks. Do you feel that toughness is a weak stat? What are your thoughts in increasing TTK without making bunkers immortals?
5) New respawn timers @ Players
Has this created issues for you and has this changed your encounters and strategies – do you feel the current 15s system is a good replacement or it needs change?
6) Revitalize the PVP scene @ Players
If you were to chose one thing to implement in hopes of revitalizing the PVP community, what would it be

A team more focused on community presentation and activity, for example Xee when he was on PZ. He was a very good player but was devoting more or too much time to streaming and dealing with questions. During paids he would alt screens or etc instead of giving 110% to the game.
TL was like this too for a while and TP has became it more and more as they go on.

Question: Should Arenanet pursue implementing a Map Editor for sPvP? Would it be something that benefits the GW2 sPvP community in the same way it has benefited other competitive online game genres? Personally, I can't think of any other MMOs that have released a full featured editor but based on Arenanet's design choices for sPvP and pending custom servers I'm thinking it would fit into the game design.
A tool like that is pretty scalable as well, so it could always be reused for players to redevelop their home instances and monetized by offering varied aesthetic doodads or textures for gems.
Anywho, it's obviously more of a super prospective question looking a year or more down the line but I'd love to see more player generated content for sPvP.

There was a time that I thought ArenaNet was different from other developers with their endles PR speak but I have lost all faith in this company and the respect I had for the developers has turned to disdain.

Do you think the SPVP development team is understaffed in any areas? Does it need more programmers to fix bugs and implement features faster?
What has frustrated you the most about the current state and development of the PVP game? What do you think your company needs to do to fix this?
What do you have to say to the players who bought this game who expected so much more from the PVP features and ended up very dissapointed, yet still holding on to their love for the game? Namely, the BWE shoutcasters and organized teams, who barely manage any twitch.tv views now?

1) How do you feel about PAID / FREE tournaments? do you see them working well? Could be also nice to see some statistics (how long is average queue time, howmany games started and finished per day / per evening etc)
2) When some kind of matchmaking or different system that will allow us to play against opponents that are same or similar level will be implemented? or maybe better , did you allready started to work on that?

How do developers and players feel about warriors being able to use more different weapons then any other profession, yet the greatsword is the only preferred choice?
Now, dont get me wrong - there are still few hammers and mace builds, but 90% of the time when you are up against a warrior both in free and paid tournaments, he will be a greatsword user with axe+shield as second weapon set. Im not saying that greatsword warriors are overpowered, just that the lack of any variety with the professiom that can wield the most weapons is annoying.

- To be competitive, there are sometimes very few "usable" builds (Warrior = GS, Thief = D/D). In theory there are "a lot" of skills but at the end of the road, only the same ones are being played. We want variety!
- Considering the golden age of PvP in GW1, where do you think GW2 stands and how could it be improved?
- What do you have to say to PvPers feeling neglected? PvE have events coming out (Halloween, Christmas), PvP gets 1 additionnal map and recurrent bugs are not being fixed (infinite loading screen after a stomp)
