After the demise of Plinx as a useful way of farming karma and money, I was curious if anyone has found or created a new zerg that fills the place of this one, I've found a few ones at lower levels but even though it was stated in the patch the money/experience/karma would be boosted for lvl 80s doing this its about 50% of what you would get doing the same in Cursed shore/Orr. So wondering if anyone found a new one, and if so where, and what dynamic events are involved. Thanks.

To get the maximum I have been bouncing between plinx, tar elementals, brood mother, the escort by tar elementals, and the shelter wp DE's in that area.. little more walking but tag and be in a DE at almost all times. Now tagging is more important to maximize karma, if you need gold stay and aoe farm.

Straits was actually terrible for farming of items, usually the yellows you got were lvl 78 and while pulling ectos out of them sort of made the money, trying to make exotics from them was a pain, cause usually you put 4 78s together and get a rare 80, then you need 4 of those to have a chance at an exotic 80. Cursed shore cut out alot of the steps towards forging exotics and overall had better drops and drop rates.

Image not visible. BTW well, with daily jug, small vial, and monthly karma container (plus dungeon completition reward), karma farm is a bit of a nonsense, finally. And fractal drop is way better of raisen ones Just let plinx die as Anet wanted, doesn't worth the time spent anymore.

Well as I said theres two purposes, the zerg was actually useful for gold and getting drops as well, and personally I found the gathering of karma from doing that much faster. So question still stands if anyone knows of a new zerg that replaced the plinx one.

Daily gold zerg at Cathedrel of Eternal Radiance in Malchor's Leap. Isn't so good for karma, but since karma is worthless, I guess it matters little.

Zerg group and drop doesn't sound good together. A couple ele with fire aoe, and forget your loot, most mobs are instakilled yet, just veterans survived a couple seconds, mostly you arrive too late even for it

I haven't found a good replacement for plinx (*) in terms of events (either getting your quick daily in, or event karma), but what you can do is run down the shore to check for plinx, then break east, grab tar elementals, and keep running east to clear any of the forts that are being held.  There is a great little "collect fish bellies" DE down south of the tar elementals, that as long as no one turns in the "fish bellies", you can spam create a ton of creatures, and group farm them fairly effectively.  Only takes one tard to ruin the DE though.

Penetant is still worth a few, and has nice waves, if you can get your tags in before the elementalists.  This has been pretty easy lately with all the people in the mists dungeon, but I'm guessing it gets bad again soonish (after the weekend).

with no boosters whatsoever and not including the merching of junk:

do your daily bonus (can be done in less than 30 minutes in a few different zones, I like wayfarer foothills and dredgehaunt cliffs), 4500 karma.

fully run AC explorable.  with a good group, it should take you around an hour.  each path gives you 26 silver and 1 vial of liquid karma worth 1880 karma, plus usually you'll get 2 extra drops of karma (400 karma each) from the spider queen and final boss, possibility of 2 more from kholer and the troll if it spawns.  I'll just use the 2 drops for calculations as many groups skip kholer for speed and the troll doesn't always spawn.  anyways, without merching the crap you get, that's 8040 karma and 78 silver.  find another dungeon that is run a lot on your server (CoF always seems to have some), and that's another 8040 karma and 78 silver + drops.

so, running 2 dungeons fully and assuming you get 2 drops of karma on each run, that's 16080 karma and 1g 56s w/out merching junk.  add in your daily jug of karma and that's 20580 karma, again with no boosters, which you can use to increase the amount of karma you get from the drops, vials, and jugs.

for money amounts, on a usual full run of AC I end up making over 2g for about an hours worth of play time (assuming a decent group).  you can make more by playing CoF/HotW/CoE and using the tokens you get to buy rares from the dungeon vendor and salvage them for ectos, plus your merched junk will sell for more.  I personally don't care about karma that much but I'm getting a ton of it.

I actually find them a lot better to farm now the main zerg has disappeared: I can actually tag mobs before they're devourerd by the zerg!!
So I get far more drops than before.
