Your original post in Muting the community:

First off: If you, Mr. Moderator, choose to delete this thread, do have the courtesy to give me a very good reason. This post isn’t offensive, it is how I feel, and should not be considered grievance. I am in the forum “Discussion”, and I would like to discuss.
Some of you might have noticed it already, some of you may not. ArenaNet are actively “censoring” the community now. Unbelievable, i know, and you might think this is some poor kitten who just got banned or a 12 year old. But no.
Browsing around the forums and Facebook i noticed some odd posts complaining about stuff like “censored again” – “stop deleting my comments!!” – “why did you delete my thread?” – I passed it as being someone flaming, whining, and posting some kitten words.
In their current Facebook update, ArenaNet encourage us to vote on GuildWars as the best game of 2012 (vs Mass Effect 3). I wrote a comment stating that i unfortunately had to vote for Mass Effect 3, especially due to last weekend, and the direction this game was headed. While that sucks for their public profile, that should be a fair statement. Guess what. My comment was removed. If you go have a look yourself you will see the first comments of the post are considerably positive “Yay go Anet!” comments, while the most recent ones are more like the attached screenshot. They don’t delete fast enough I guess.
Here on the forum they can’t/don’t do it that way. However, any of you who have tried posting a thread here with complaints, frustration etc on the forum will have noticed your threads being merged into one giant feedback thread. Ok, it is nice you create a place where all the “feedback” goes, but honestly, a lot of players were hoping for some feedback to their lengthy posts themselves. They were merged into 200 pages of feedback. You can never ever have a chance of discussing the indiviual “feedback” threads in there, successfully muting the community of any further discussion.
I can see this “cleans up” the forum. It does not clean up all the players who had something to say. Furthermore, if your players is unhappy, and the feedback is negative, the forums will flood. Why would you in the first place merge everything so it doesn’t seem that bad. Honestly, i dare you to not clean the forum for 1 hour. See how the negativity by far surpasses everything else.
I think what i really want here is for the part of your community that isn’t happy to be heard too. It’s great you have happy players, but you need to listen to the other side too. So far they are getting no answers, and no spotlight from ArenaNet though. I dare say that no one here who complained about this weekend with the exception of the disconnects at the final event, has gotten any response from ArenaNet.
If anyone did, please post!
Also, please, state your opinions on this topic, as well as your experiences.
Note: I expect this thread to be locked with a mod telling us something like “This has gone off the rail” or “This discussion is irrelevant. ArenaNet does not practise censurship” – or deleted for “grievance”. But lets see.
