what is the least played class you see in game?

Kinda feel it's either necro or elementalist.
They felt very traditional to me and had low priority in playing.

Ranger is another one of those 'auto attack' class that I got bored of.
I kinda enjoyed the melee a lot in this game, not so much when I go into dungeons though. Heheh.

I have to agree with Engineers . They're really fun to play but I guess the poor weapon choices won't make them anyone's main. Since most are getting legendaries for their main.

mesmers are pretty common actually. In orr events, about 1/5 of the people i see are mesmers(explains the clones lagging me). I think engineer is the least played followed by necro. Then thief maybe.
But we all know that the popular class is always the warrior. Human warrior.

I would say engineers. To be honest I see enough of every other class to think the ones that were behind (ele, necro, mes) are catching up to the rest. Only engineer I ever see is me when I'm on.

I actually was lucky around 1 month ago, I did AC with 4 other engineers. You'd be surprised how well it turned out being 5 engineers. A couple grenadiers, a turret deployer, elixir gun supporter and bomb tanker (me).

Was one of the funniest and fulfilling runs I ever made since then.

Engineer. Starting to see a lot more mesmers and a lot less elementalists a well.

I could say engineers as the most rare to meet, on a typical pug. I had the rare event to have 2 of them , and doing underwater fractal too. Pure awesomeness

Oddly enough, while leveling my alt engineer, I found lots, and I mean LOTS of other engineers clearing zones with me.

It seems like it's one of the favorite alt classes.

I apologize if you misunderstood me. I know thieves are useful, I do dungeons often with one as a companion. I meant in the general view some have of anything other than a warrior or guardian...

Engineers and mesmers. I can't see why, though. From what I've seen and played, engineers and mesmers are really cool. I suppose they're the classes that people think: 'they're not as cool as a warrior,' or something. I remember thinking the same thing with the necromancer and mesmer in Guild Wars 1, and I learnt that I was very wrong. I eventually made characters with those professions and I found them to be the best professions in the game

I know what you mean. I fell in love with the engineer since it was first announced, but not the mesmer. Started a mesmer because I loved the magical duelist idea but wasn't sold on them. Ever since I play only engineer and mesmer, the two least popular classes and I'm happy to have kitted them up:)

i thought engineers would be, but i'm starting to see more of them.

it shifts for sure, however there are professions that are played far too much are guardians, warriors, thieves and mesmers, imo.

and elementalist, i see them frequently enough.

i main an engi and have loved them since announcement. They're lots of fun to play. don't see too many around.

mesmers and eles seem rare enough. necros a bit more frequent. i see a good few rangers in the world.

i see loads of guardians and know lots of peeps who play them so i started one and find it fun.

have started a war also and is good fun.

heavy classes will generally be very popular in early days cos they're easy to grasp in beginning. the skill comes with the later refinement.

diversity will eventually seep through and some classes will get railroaded by nerfs etc. just hope they don't do to guards what they did to paras in gw1...

I think the stats they released represent characters rolled which can be misleading as lots of people roll alts out of curiosity and then delete them.

A more meaningful measure would be to count classes that reach level 80.

In Orr (lvl 80) I  tend to see tons of Elementalists, and quite a few Mesmers, but very few Engineers, and even fewer Necros.
There seem to be plenty of Warriors, Guardians, Rangers and Thieves in Orr.

In terms of playing with them as team mates, I have seen some very well played Mesmers and Elementalists, but very few well played Engineers.

By well played I mean, they stood out in the team and were key to the teams success.

My current main is also an Engineer.Its hard to tell if its the least played class on my server as I see enough of every class.

Im surprised to hear that engineer is the least played class in general though.

Necros definitely.

i even forget they are in the game still because i see so few.  Engineers area close second.

i actually see a lot of Mesmers - and despite all of the complaints, A LOT of thieves. . .
