Hi

Some of you will remember the old GW1 All Mesmer meets and teams that met weekly for many years at the Deldrimor War Camp.

I've been really keen to restart these in GW2 and have been waiting for guesting to arrive to make them game wide as the original ones were. Since guesting is not here yet I've decided to start them up anyway and carry on when it is.

So, What's it all about?

Quite simply bring your mesmer to Divinities Reach, at the Lyssa Waypoint on Friday 30th November at 21:00 GMT. Join in the chat, banter and then team up to do whatever content you want to have a go at.

Don't forget to take screenies though

Me and my guild have done a few all mesmer test runs, including fractals and dungeons and we're confident no content is too hard for purple butterflies, legions of clones or a plethora of portals

Let's put the 'all professions can do anything' to the test, kick start the mesmer community and have fun doing so

Well the 30th will be my birthday so I'll try and make it:) depends if my girlfriend has made something for me or not... Hope not since I told her we'd be celebrating it on Saturday.

I'd like to join, but being honest. my server is nearly always full. and i don't want to switch server for that

I will probably be trying to put together some dungeon groups during the event. So long as we're in the same region (EU), we should be able to party up and get into the old dungeons even if we're on separate home servers. Unfortunately we can't do that with Fractals (yet?) as you have to be in the same instance to queue.

I'm not sure whether or not this would be considered an exploit, but if you manage to create an overflow in Divinity's reach, you can party with people from other servers can invite them into the same overflow for some cross-server mingling.

Nice meet up. The Shinies mini dungeon was fun and quite a mesmery thingto do. Tequatal happend to be up so we and our timewarps just had to chip in. This was then followed up by a desert of WvW jumping puzzles where of course mesmers come in very useful. Kinda a shame about some technical issues with lag and the like but that's how it goes.

If you haven't tried it yet, Fractals should be possible cross-server, I don't think I've ever been to LA without going into an overflow. So party up and right click to join each other's overflow, then hop into fractals.
I'm positive I've been in fractal runs with people from other servers after making a group in an overflow, so it should be possible to party up and then do the whole 'right click to join in overflow' thing in order to access fractals together.

Also, is there a "Friday Mesmer Meet Up" guild? Since guilds and guild chat are game-wide, and we can join multiple guilds, it might be fun (and easier for orginization) to have a guild every one could rep during the friday meet.

Last week a group tried AC, with the howling king but the builds/tactics were'nt quite there to defend Hodgkins that well. The nice thing about these all profession things is that it makes you think about combinations and how a team needs to interact and so helps ones understanding of the profession. It often needs a left field answer (such as putting down 5 portals on each burrow) which is where (to me) the fun and challenge lie.

We've done some fractals as an all mesmer team both in guild and as part of these meets (I think we finished the whisp part of swamp with 21s to spare xD) so yup fractals and dungeons are all multi-server(but NOT across region ) .

I'd hoped guesting would be in by now, which is why next week we'll be meeting in LA(overflow) so more can join in.

As for a mesmer guild, it's possible but what we've done so far is for me to switch my commander tag on and we all chat in /squad. Not only does it help keep the spam out, it also helps people trying to find the meet.

There's usually multiple overflows of LA though so how do we join the right one? Will people make multiple parties so we can choose the "join party member" option?

How we do it as a guild is that people PM someone(in this case me) for an invite to team. Once invited you right click on my portrait and select the 'join in LA' You'll then get ported to my instance where you can leave the team. Those that are already there can then get others in by using the same method.

Does'nt take long as it works exponentially(5 can bring in 5 more each, who can then bring in 5 more each etc)

Is there a NA server to host this stuff now that guesting can't work between NA and EU?
