Please do Lemming :) It's helpful, informative & I'm sure has helped people find many bargain's & great games. I know for a fact I don't personally keep track of sales around the place like you do, so couldn't keep ppl updated to the same extent that you do.

On that note: Steam Winter Sale is on. New deals everyday.

Remember: if it's not a daily deal or a flash sale then do not buy it till the last day! Daily deals & flash sales will always save you the most!

12/19:

As far as Steam daily sale go, if you need Bioshock Infinite or Arkham Origins, there are cheaper options, so you might want to try an alternative. Dishonored has been below $7.50 four times in the past few weeks, so the odds that it'll be cheaper elsewhere in this sale season are high.

If you want to preorder Metal Gear Rising (which is an excellent game, for the record), the ongoing 20% discount code at GameFly works on it for now for a final cost of $16.

For this current crop of flash deals, Divekick and CS: Global Offensive are safe to buy.

Non-Steam deals:

GMG20-ZB5D1-93X49 for 20% off at GMG
GFDDEC20 for 20% off at GameFly

Note that for Civ 5, there are a bunch of ways you can combine purchases to get all the parts you need (core game, two expansions, and a bunch of DLC). Gold Edition + BNW covers everything, although if you're going that route, you might want to get the Firaxis Pack with BNW a la carte, since you'd be getting two extra games for $2.50.

Batman: Arkham Origins $20 after code @GreenManGaming
Civilization V: Gold Edition + Brave New World $20 @Amazon
Civilization V: Gold Edition + XCOM: Enemy Unknown + Civilization IV Complete $15 @Amazon
Civilization V: Brave New World $7.50 @GetGamesGo
Bioshock Triple Pack $15 @Amazon
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons $6 @Amazon
Outlast $6.80 (or $5.44) @GamersGate
D&D Master Collection (Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate 1+2 Complete, Icewind Dale 1+2 Complete, all DRM-free) $5 (or $4) @GamersGate
Neverwinter Nights 1+2 Complete (DRM-free) $7.50 (or $6) @GamersGate

Don't buy FTL for $3.40. That's not a good price.

Slim pickings today, although Far Cry 3 for $7.50 matches the lowest price to date.

FF7 is ok, too, if that's what you're into.

Someone do me a favor and buy my XCOM and Bioshock Infinite Steam keys.

(And in case you were wondering, yes, they're cheaper than Steam's prices.)

Probably a bit late, but Civ 5: Brave New World and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are both cheaper a la carte at GMG than as a Steam daily/flash sale.

I like Trine 2. I can't guarantee that everyone is going to like it, but if you want to drop a couple of dollars on something, you could do a lot worse.

By the way, vote for Brothers.

For today's dailies, I'm not a fan of buying Skyrim Legendary. It only looks cheap because the DLC is expensive, after all.

If you don't own Terraria, you can go buy it or something.

King of Fighters 13 is $10 as a flash deal right now; get that if you like fighting games, given that there's not exactly a whole lot of choice on PC and that NRS games are, well, NRS games.

Gone Home was $5 at the Humble Store for a better version recently ($5 for both a DRM-free copy and a Steam key), so if you're not in a hurry to spend money, you might want to wait a bit.

Consider buying Dark Souls, as well as whatever wins the upcoming community vote.

Sucks that the sale price baseline for Gone Home seems to have gone up, but I'd still suggest buying it from the Humble Store today over Steam.

Gunpoint is $3.33 at the Humble Store. Today's Steam dailies on Risk of Rain, Spelunky, and The Swapper are also worth investigating, I guess.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is $7.49 on Amazon, or $2.49 after an Editor's Choice credit. (Lemme know if you want to swing a deal for a cheap copy.)

Humble Bundle 10 is up. You've long since missed the copy of Starbound they had, but it's still worthwhile to pick up (although you may want to wait a few more days for the average to dip a bit lower).

There's going to be a Humble Bundle every day through the next two weeks. Today's is a rerun, but there's no indication yet as to whether they'll all be old ones or new ones.

With that being said, even old bundles are great deals for if you've missed them.

Additionally, check the Humble Store - they still have a week's worth of daily deals and flash sales to go.

I'm planning on making a consolidated thread for gaming deals sometime in the next couple of weeks that will have useful information in the opening post (that I'm anticipating is going to go unused, because no one ever reads the OP). If anyone reading this has suggestions regarding content that should go into it, drop me a line or post here or something!

=====================================

Today's Humble daily is not particularly good. The Banner Saga hasn't gone below $16 on Steam to date, so this is technically the best price yet, but it's still a lot to pay for a single game. I'd suggest waiting. This week's platformer weekly bundle is kind of lukewarm, too.

On the other hand, Antichamber is $3 as a flash deal for the next eight hours, if you missed it during HIB11.

GameStop has a big digital sale going on.

Highlights include Skyrim and Dishonored for $5 each, Arkham Origins for $5, and Arkham City and Lego Marvel Superheroes for $3.50 each (all lowest prices to date).

Steam Summer Sale June 19th-30th.

I'll post some tips about how to maximize your marginal utility soon (probably common knowledge to everyone who reads this thread, but whatever).

GOG's summer sale started today. The whole store is something like 50% off, but you should probably wait for better prices. For one, custom bundles (like today's D&D and Rollercoaster Tycoon bundles) will be offered every day. Additionally, it seems like there will be flash deals rotating in every hour; check regularly if there's stuff you want.

GamersGate has a sale going on for D&D games again. Get the DRM-free Master Anthology for $5 if you haven't in the past.
