Bought TL2 and, AT LONG LAST, Mirror's Edge. Somehow I managed to always miss the latter's daily deal sales so far :/

Did anyone buy PoP:
http://store.steampo...iafranchise_421
and ME:
http://store.steampo...?snr=1_4_4__800

I am curious - do they work with the 360 controller or are they keyboard only?

ME definitely works with the 360 controller. I have no idea about the Prince of Persia games, but I assume so.

Bought Prince of Persia, Deus Ex: HR, BioShock, Borderlands, and SimCity 4. At this point I'm just adding games I already own but want on Steam. Man I'm such a drone.

So far I've been happy with the sales. Managed to get a copy of Divine Divinity (already own, but the disc is scratched.. so can't install it - and same price as at gog) as well as Beyond Divinity. Also nabbed Dishonored, which I was annoyed to have missed previous sale. Now just sitting and seeing what else might come up of interest to me.

Robsy128 - from what I read/know, Dishonored's current dlc is just a set of challenge maps. IE fight waves of monster's, do a continuous stream of drop assassinations, do X action stealthily in fastest time, etc. So if you like challenge type maps where you compete against others times/scores for the best times/score, and/or absolutely have to have every achievement possible for a game... then the current dlc is for you. Or if you find that you really like the mechanics of the game and want to challenge yourself.. the dlc might be for you. If your after story-based dlc... or challenge maps, etc don't interest you... don't bother with the current dlc and wait for the story-dlc that the publisher has stated is coming.

Have a moderation related issue? Send me a PM

Do you guys think there is a chance for a 75% discount for Borderlands 2? It's sitting on 50% currently.

Public service announcement: Steam sales are overrated. Between Amazon, GMG, GOG, and GamersGate, almost everything Steam puts up as a daily deal/flash deal has been/will be cheaper.

It's hard to argue with 75% off, it doesn't get much cheaper then that.
Literally, it doesn't, there's only 25% left to work with xD
Even if another site has something for, say, 85% off, that doesn't mean steam's sale is crap or "over rated", it's still a huge saving. Though shopping around for the best price is a great idea : D

Not going to lie, I get irked when people overpay. Steam may have had dominant sales the past couple of years, but they've been getting blown out of the water as of late.

It's 60% off at GameFly with coupon code HOLIDAY20 right now.

$15 on Amazon starting tomorrow; activates on Steam.

Alternatively, if there's something else you want to get on Amazon Digital, you'll get a $5 credit towards eligible games next year with every purchase, which will stack with their price of $18 on Dark Souls in the first week of January.

So, I can't buy DS on Steam because it's not available in my country. If I were to buy it digitally on Amazon, activate it on Steam, would it be disabled?

AFAIK, the code Amazon will give you isn't region locked, but you might want to check with Amazon's digital games representative. Turnaround time on PMs you send him is pretty short.

Related: $15 Dark Souls is live.

I don't think it would be. I bought Skyrim from an official retailer in my country, can play it like any other game, yet when trying to visit the "Store Page" via Steam, it says its unavailable in my region.

I got The Secret World for $22 and Deus Ex for $5 during flash sale.
I'm very happy with TSW so far. It's a very special MMO compared to everything that's out now.

and Deus Ex is better than what I remember from the leaked Demo 2 years ago. I'm glad I can finally play it.

Also the current coupon for GameFly is HOLIDAY10 since the other one timedout.
This one is until 24 December I think.

If anyone was looking for Chivalry, it's been ~$8 a couple of times at GMG ($12.50 before coupon). Unless you're in a hurry to play it, you might want to consider waiting a couple of days.

Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition for $10 (or $13.50 with all the costumes) is a very good deal, for people interested in that.

If you skip straight to the gameplay it becomes pretty self-explanatory.

If anyone was thinking about getting Spec Ops: The Line from the current flash deal, don't bother. Amazon has it along with Bioshock 1 and 2 for $9.99. You'll also get $5 of credit towards another 2K game and $5 towards an Editor's Choice game.

The $5 promotion also applies to EA, THQ, and Ubisoft. More details here, along with suggestions on things to purchase: http://www.reddit.co..._2k_thq_and_ea/

Not likely to get a better deal KOTOR 2 at $2.50 on Steam, though.

Reminder: GameFly's sales end in about six hours. With coupon code HOLIDAY10, their prices for games like Torchlight 2, The Walking Dead, Mass Effect 3, Portal 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and LA Noire are likely to be the best of the season.

Did you not get in on the Amazon $15 sale? It'll also be $13 there in the new year with an editor's choice credit.
