Hey

I want to come back to my mesmer, but there's only one thing that throws me off - i cant find a good matching armorset for my future Twilight. I just dont like the combination of GS and robes...

Ill give 1g (or more), to the person that will show/tell me about the most badass light armor part combo, that will look cool with GS and preferably not be a robe.

Otherwise, it'd help if you gave a race and gender, but the Ascalon Catacombs armour is the highest-level light armour that I know of that doesn't include robes. There may be other options depending on race, gender, and how robe-like something has to be to be disqualified.

Well I'm using the exotic crafted armour, although I am using the harlequin mask for the head piece.

Looks more like a coat than a robe. Not sure if long coat is what you were looking for though. I dyed mine two types of purple and put the detail in gold.

I wouldn't ask here if I hadn't done that. What's more - I know the look of every armor in this game. The problem is that I can't find a whole set that would match my GS mesmer looks. So I'm hoping that someone found something I've missed, or found a good combination of different armorset parts.

I'm quite happy with this set, prolly would look better with proper black dye, this one is Iron

Try this thread for ideas, 12+ pages of pictures for Mesmers mixing and matching sets. Here's one that you might like, not really a robe so figured it might do. Said it was the full Acoloyte set with Abyss and Blue Ice dye...

You're the one who knows best what you'd like to wear. Go to the Heart of Mists and check the PvP Locker. Mix and match. Google for the PvE names of the pieces you've picked.

I was planning at the angle of twilight too. After looking at some items i thought mix of arah and cof armor would be great (perhaps with twilight arbor somewhere). I decided against TA, but recently i saw screenshot of a guy with CoF pants and TA coat which looked very impressive.

I can't quite find the screenshot ufortunately, but check cof pants with TA coat in your pvp locker.

Your screenshot helped me with my decision. Embroidered pants solve the problem Even though I'm using different armor for other parts, my set still includes the pants you suggested. I'm soon gonna post some screenshots.

I'm glad I could help I'm still trying to find a better matching chestpiece, although I wanna stick with short sleeves and afaik there are no other chests that go well with my pants. I really like the ninja-ish feel of this set.

Make sure to post screenshots when you're done.

Get the Zerker set, and put in Either Rubies or if you want to go Tanky upgrade it with Beryl Orbs!
I would also recommend dying the Set with colors that reflect Twilight, for Fashion Points! (FTW?)

The problem with this set is that it has a bad clipping issue with pants/boots. I hate anything clipping, and thats why I don't like this set. But i used this chest in my combo.

How to take higher quality screenshots? The one I make seem pretty low-resolution

I believe that somewhere in settings there is an option for that. What I did though was just normal paste into paint and crop, gets the job done and doesn't require piercing through files to find screenshots.

The problem is that after pasting it into paint, all I can see on a screenshot is my desktop ;/

So far, I've achieved that:



I used purple instead of dark red, since I have no Twilight yet, and purple seems to look better with mesmer skill animations.

Tried to achieve a dark, chaotic look. At the current point of the game, the following parts seem to be fitting my vision the most. Maybe I will think about buying the Black Lion store skin for pants, or find some better shoulders. Not sure yet, but I'm open for suggestions.
