Hi ho folks. Me and 2 of my mates quited GW2 like 1 month ago and I was wondering how this game doing right now? We were focused into tpvp but there was only few teams playing + queues were insane long so we gave up ( if im not mistaken we were like rank30-33). I didint read any new patch notes so i dont know even whats happening. Any cool changes coming  for spvp? Cheers

It's not so bad. A couple of friends gave me some prespective and I've been holding on to it dearly.

Despite it all, I'm still having fun.

Well it seems that a huge chunk of people don't like the game anymore while a great chunk of people are having a real blast! I never had so much fun in an RPG or an MMORPG and I'm having more fun than in any other game I played in quite a while. :)

its good only for casual pvpers. hardcore players are lying to themselves that ANet will change things next patch like they did November patch probably nothing will happen.

It was always for casuals, GW2 has very low skill cap, but people still think this game has e-sport potential if they only included custom maps and observer mode, which would mean nothing, since interest in GW2 is non existent.

Exactly, people with their hopes up are delusional. We all want the game to succeed but i dont see that happening.
sPvP is still fun tho, its the tournaments that are broken in every aspect.

OP, to answer your question. Some new content has just been added, a new PvE zone, an endless dungeon and some SPvP zones. There seems to be a live event one weekend a month, hopefully the next one will be executed a little better, as there was just wayyyy too much lag. The fact that there are people using these forums to convey how crappy this free to play game that they have no obligation to play (like waiting out the rest of their subscription) this far into the game's life is a really good sign.

Correction, they do care. There's only so much they can do at once.

If you eat nothing but apples every day you will get sick of apples, in which case you would blame yourself for getting sick of them, not the apple farmer.

This analogy is so wrong mate, first of all you can`t eat strawberry or oranges when all you have is apples !
And yes our farmer (Anet) is to blame since they not providing anything except apples :P (or maybe you think players should pull up their sleeves and start working on game development ?)

The problem with your analysis of my analogy is that we don't live on an island with only one farmer that grows only apples. I spent all day yesterday doing jumping puzzles and I don't even have half of them completed. The day before that I gave SPvP a try and it was fun. Before that I was spamming dungeons for a neat set of skins. For the month straight prior to that I was grinding gold and badges of honor from the jumping puzzles, I only stopped because I was getting tired of farming for my legendary. Occasionally doing WvW in between all of this, more so just recently.

PvP doesn't become stale when you do other things to break up the monotony. I will agree that WvW and SPvP does leave a little to be desired, but to say that they don't care about it just isn't true. They have said that they have new content in the works for PvP, it's just not coming NOW which is what most of the people complaining about it want.

Its doing great and will grow into one of the largest MMOs for years to come, there is nothing coming out even close to being a pvp MMO and Anet is doing a fine job and a steady pace.

If you only want to tpvp give it a few months for rankings....

How people are not happy with GW2 I have no idea... the PvE is outstanding WvW is the most fun I had since DAoC and Spvp and Tpvp are fine and getting better.

If you ask on forums, its dead already and you should never have bought it. If you ask in game, its the best thing since electricity.

If you like PvP then I'd wait for the PvP update and a bug fix, then things should get rolling. I've never touched the stuff since the BWEs so I'm just going on what I hear. PvE is kicking ass though.

I spent time playing PvE today.  I had a great time.  As usual, nearly everywhere I went there was someone else.  Thankfully, there are also lonely desolate places that have a wilderness feel to them.

What kind of troll hangs around the fan site of a game he doesn't like only to tell others they should hate the game also?  Don't you have anything useful to do with your time?

this is depressing..the posts here are depressing. You have an idiot that speaks of arenanet that they dont care about pvp and then you have the idiot that hates the game and tries to pull players away..Then you have the common idiot that thinks everything is simple and has an opinion about everything.
Really dont ask these questions here cause you will not get the truth anyway.Just log in and start asking in map chat or talk with a few players from the current competitive teams that do some streaming.

WoW isn't safe at all. It has been losing over 1.1 mill subs per quarter for some time now and it continues to do so. At a rate of 4.5 mill subs lost per year, unless something drastic happens, its not looking pretty.

The game itself is fine, the issue is lack of teams for Paids and Paids que'n as well as implementation of Custom Arena's and Obs mode.

Exactly why I said, The end is near for WoW. Gw2 Can shine but it needs some time, today is the reddit talk so everyone pop there and try to convince the devs to actually do something. Wiki just pop this or have been there for some time, I do not know.
