First let me say that these are just summeries, which i created to help summerize each builds strength / weakness.

it is not meant to be viewed as an in depth guide, nor should you pay attention to stats / utilities.

The ratings i gave to each build is my own, and is purely anecdotal. you can argue that backstabs 4/5 offense rating is equal to PW 4.5/5, but again, these are my opinions, not anything factualy concrete.

As I stated in the YouTube comment;
'Needs a demonstration of the build in actual gameplay to support your idea. Maybe go against a mob of three in PvE or WvW. Also demonstrate us against supply camp as you stated and the 1v1.'

The best thief build is 15 slot bags for storage and reroll a mesmer.

Anyone that has played both knows the theif is deficient in every aspect other than tagging mobs.

why would i 5* them?

if i can make a 5/5 offense / defense thief build, that would be OP as hell.

It's a bit arbitrary since in the same breath you explain each build better than the number. However, I think you missed out on secondary weapons and the true benefit to backstab+shortbow combo. Best build because most diverse; greatest traversal, greatest single-target DPS, greatest AoE, both condition and power-wise.

and back to what i was saying, i do not think that those things warrant a 5/5 for offense/def, especially because backstab has a very small window.

To be honest your S/D video was the best one. The build is kind of different from what i use but it works too from what i see.

I go 10/30/0/15/15 and works like a charm although i die kind of faster but that extra dodge is godsent.

Although right now i find myself playing a D/D glass canon agresive style and god it's fun as hell
