Fractals is technically endless, so it's a permanent damage to WvW population.

Can SoS win back to back?
Will SBI reclaim their crown as kings of tier 1?
Can JQ gain confidence from beating SBI this week to challenge SoS?
After SoS were celebrating the win and recovering, JQ made a late push over the final 12 hours to gain 15k points over everyone else. That's why we NEVER say it's over until it's over, if SoS had the attitude of 'we've won' on Wednesday we would have choked on the finish line. No doubt either that JQ's late Euro effort was a ratings push, they were trying to claim the #1 ranking and only fell 2 ratings points short, it was a good try and they would have gained a lot of confidence from it.

I hate to say this, but you should probably just give up on that.
Excuses are an integral part of T1, that's why they call it the "Tier of Tears" That's how JQ got our nickname (Although there are so few JQ posters left, it's kinda pointless). Point is, get used to the excuses, if you don't want to deal with QQ and other servers devaluing your victories, stay off of the forums, it's that simple. I know that saying "my way or the highway" seems rather harsh, but you will simply never change the way T1 is.

Some people will always spew negativity all over everything you try to do. Its in their nature, who knows why, and who really cares. Most people who use this forum and are worth a damn know that the value of your fun cannot be based in what people have to say about it. Some do not have the ability to lose (or win) gracefully. When they are up, its cause they rock (or you suck), if they lose its because they light got in their eye, or a homeless man stole their bike (you get the picture).
Some people cant take the hit to their ego to admit that they were beaten. Pity them, because as long as they make excuses for their failings (in life and in game) they will never confront the reason behind those losses.
They have peaked, and will never be better than they are now... To improve requires you to admit, even to yourself, that there is something to improve upon.

I can't help but smile when reading this because I'm 90% certain that a certain former SoS commander, fond of using the 3rd person in addressing others, might be a contributing factor.
Seriously, we could have sic'd all the Anonymous hackers in the world on SBI and it would do less damage than he's likely doing to their coordination efforts right now.

So how do you propose that? What do you suggest, without introducing PvE objectives? In WvWvW, the carrot at the end of a stick is defeating your opponents on the battlefield. If that's getting old for you (which is kinda funny since your opponent is defeating you at the moment), perhaps that's not the carrot you're after. What do you propose to make it "new" again?

Agreed. The players that stick around and fight the hardest are often the ones who just need this. If you need other arbitrary rewards, then you're like to keep needing new ones (you'll never be satisfied).
Good fights and close games are what keep me coming back.

Na... Anet needs to fix the current issues before anything else. It's going to be a PvE game; why they have more developers on their PvE side than Wv3 or sPvP. It's discouraging for anyone that wants to do any PvP to see new weak PvE content come out, and no major fixes for Wv3... I also can't stand the fascism going on by their moderators in the forums. Saying anything bad about the game; even if it's constructive results in an infraction. It's just ridiculous, and pointless to give any feedback towards their game. Hope that work out tho someday, and would always be glad to come back once they can fix the brokenness in Wv3...
Until then I'm playing APB and PS2! No PvE in those games!

New siege weapons, racial or faction variants on existing siege weapons (i.e. Krytan Arrow Cart or Black Citadel Arrow Cart with an extra still that does some different, useful effect. Upgrades at mystic forge cost badges not PvE crap.
WvW events in the style of the PvE events, limited time objectives, temporary changes to architecture.
Permanent changes to architecture as the owners of the various keeps/towers/etc improve them based on their experience.. or perhaps they fall to ruin after being sacked one too many times.
Additional structure upgrades, like refilling bins or racks of ice bows or flaming greatswords, anti-stealth searchlights and sensory artifacts.
There's a lot that's possible and could be made interesting.
