We made a comeback once against Blackgate but that was because of external factors which severely limited Blackgate's population (Halloween and Hurricane Sandy), which our Korean players were not affected by.

There was also one time when we had the lead against HoD, but HoD made a comeback. It was later learned that some of the TA guilds decided to take a break during the weekend, which allowed us to gain a unusual lead.
So yeah, there is always an explanation for a comeback.

I'm impressed with SoS yet again this week. Last week was a surprise and I had originally thought that the event had a part in their large lead but that is a non-factor this week.

I see now from this week's outcome that SBI and JQ are still part of the old guard. The T1 that you knew is gone. Anyone in T1 and T2 has the capability of rising to the top spot. And if you think dropping to T2 will give you an opportunity to "take it easy", you're in for a rude awakening. All 3 servers in T2 will fight hard for the whole week through.

The start of this week played out more like I assumed it would have played out last week. A close battle over the weekend for all 3 servers and SBI starting to pull ahead at the beginning of the weekdays and going on to win.

Most of the serious WvWers just said "good fights" and "the week isn't over yet". But then I saw a lot of forum warriors from SBI coming out to insult the Sea of Bads, Sea of Pugs, the Sea of Noobs; that they would take all their keeps, towers, women, and honor. That they were in fact not yet ready for T1 and given no respect.

Now I see those same forum warriors eating crow or making excuses; the same excuses they said SoS would be making by the end of this week. And I wonder why they are surprised. You were simply out-worked this week.

I stated my opinion on this in last week's thread. That there are a lot of big, bad great white sharks swimming under the waterline in the Sea of Sorrows. And they can smell blood in the water.

The only thing these forum warriors accomplished was to chum the waters. And that's the last thing you want to do. Sea of Bads, Sea of Pugs... hardly. More like Sea of Sharks.

This is exactly why a server would deserve to lose. Don't you see that throwing in the towel is a guaranteed loss? SoS had a 30k+ deficit early in the week and have come back from it, why can't you?

Coming back would require participation and effort.

As far as I can tell, SBI population has no interest in WvW any longer.

Change is the only constant in WvW. It gets boring and tedious, so transferring servers is sometimes the only way to keep things interesting. Until Anet gets off their lazy asses and stops free transfers, I wouldn't put my money on any server to hold first place for long.

Oh you have no interest in WvW because you got your asses handed to you for two weeks in a row? :( Your tag seems quite appropriate.

On another note.

I saw a post earlier saying that the next thing for PRX would be to go to Kaintang and fight their way up. Honestly I would love to see that happen. That would be funny as hell.

The funny thing about those internet tough guys is that their mouths wrote checks and their asses were never around to even attempt to cash them. Kudos on some bad ass fights SoS.

Every WvW participant on SoS is motivated.  Win or lose, SoS won't fold.  They'll fight for the win up to the last minute.

Seems to me they spent more time putting together a winning strategy for the week rather than prematurely gloating here.

SBI its on you now to stage one of your comebacks.  I'll echo a previous reply here and say, I'd love to see it, it would make my week.

SBI keeps saying this.  What comebacks?  When they played against HoD when they went 30-0 they never got a single win.  Now, when they are against SoS, they are looking to go down 0-2.  Looks to me that the only wins SBI can get in T1 is when they fight a T2 server that got placed in T1 only as a result of TA disbanding (BG/IoJ).  They talk a big game, but they have never actually finished first.

I would add in SBI however they kinda didn't show up past Monday.  Not sure what happened to Yaki, SYN, WM =(

Alright SBI, first off, great game again this week.  Noone came out unscathed, and the juggle between first and second has been truly epic.  Personally I hope this is the new trend of WvW, no meta servers, just matches close enough that a few coordinated groups, no matter how small, can make a diffrence when they put their presence on the map in the right places.  Much respect for your small units you fielded, if you could get them to coordinate with your bigger guilds, youll send us back to the white board again!

A message specifically to Vihar and MrZero.  I am only assuming you two are leaders of your guild or community.  I have studied leadership in the real world for 15 years, and have been addicted to MMOs for about as long.  I know you may not want this job, but sorry, your server needs you.  Very few people on your server command the respect of the masses like you do when you talk on here. You are professional, yet fun.  You take ownership for your failings on one hand, and try to work on them with the other.  You put a fun spin on an otherwise shitty situation, and finally, when you talk people listen.

In the coming days, I foresee SBI going through some structural changes on how you organize your WvW.  NOONE can say you don't have the heart!  Anyone who does is talking out their ass.  As they move into this new level of organization, they need someone to help bump them.  Someone who can talk to them with respect, while at the same time motivating them to do something they may not want to do (IE move from red is dead to a strategy table where maps are planned out).  You guys see it, I see that in your posts and in your messages.  The time for action is soon, be your server's Keano Reeves...

To JQ.  You guys had an off week this week, but honestly, your strats are sound!  You play like you have higher organization, so Im assuming you just had an off week for attendance!

Lastly, to the nay sayers.  The first name that comes to mine is Kelo.  Why you have forum access on the SBI forums is beyond me.  From what I can tell, you showed up to SBI talking big, but all you have done is point fingers at people, call people out for being crappy, talk trash on your own server, and represent SBI is the worst possible way.  Most everyone on here can see past that to your true leaders, and label you for what you are, but SBI is still recruiting new guilds to their server.  What do you think it does when guilds like TSYM are shopping around for a new place to call home (we are not, but we did at one time), guilds that pride themselves on higher order tactics and training, guilds that have probably been kept away from higher tiers for reasons other than our effort or skill.  Now imagine they stroll across your posts, and rather than GGing people, and showing that you can not only take a loss but learn from it, you make excuses, call people trash, and generally troll the hell out of enemies and friendlies alike!  Your posts do not help your team, so how about you get on their team and start working on the problems, not rubbing it in their faces and calling them PVE carebears or something.

I look forward to the coming days, we live for the competition you guys have brought us.  GG all around, GG to the gracious winners, GG to the gracious losers, GG to the trolls, and GG to the crap talkers and mud slingers.  We hope the trials you all face bind you closer to your communities, rather than pull them apart!

The way I see it, as long as I keep fighting, I'm going to keep talking.

   I did my part.

Can't speak for the rest of SBI, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks unless they show up, too.

Wasn't TA disbanding was trying to promote competition? So when the competition was slightly even we won. I hardly call BG a Tier 2 server. They prove that they were capable of handing Tier 1.

Why are you posting here bad mouthing a server you never played against? You always seem to have some form of hate towards SBI. There will be no comeback there won't be any overtime pulled by any guild to try and take the lead.

Every server will have a low point, it how we handle the situation and recovery from it that make us stronger. SBI will bounce back and we be hungry for blood when that happens.

SBI players please stop making excuses you making our server look bad. If you really was able to take out numbers twice your size why aint we in the lead then? Why do I have to log in every night with (+80) and try and build it back up again with WM and other guilds. There are still guilds out there fighting tooth and nail for every inche of the map. We finally got some control of the EB yesterday /salute to the guilds that did that. :)

Thank you for the compliment. Vihar is, in fact the leader of his guild which is also one of the major guilds in the loose coalition. That being said, I was labelled as a plant and a spy by one of the leaders of that same coalition. I am a guildless nutjob that has leveled 2 characters to 80 solely on wvw. A leader I could be, a leader I am not.

I haven't left this server because, as you may have seen out on the field, it is comprised of many small guilds and just general population on the field. This is both a strength and weakness. It's also the reason why there is such a disparity in the population that you see on the field. I'd elaborate more on the specifics but, I don't care to deal with the whining and bitching that is going to come with it. There is no doubt that SBI has the heart. That was proven on the JQBL map Tuesday night. It was a real 2v1. WHen I logged in SBI had the SW supply camp. SOS had Redlake and JQ had the Bay keep. We fought both servers one after the other like they were grouping up in a que outside the entrance. We were bombarding RL with trebs and the bay with catapults on and off for about 3 or 4 hours. In the end, we got both. SBI was fighting like a bunch of superheroes.

The real people on the server that deserve respect from our opponents are some of our commanders. Psylonx, Amaranth of War, Bahaness, Jang Gun, Jedbacca to name a few.

Edit to add: There are about 3 or 4 people on these forums that actually know who I am in game.

Maybe the people claiming to be able to take out numbers twice the size are killing the undergeared level 10 leveled up to 80...  These powerful level 80's with their nourishments, buffs and such applied can boost 100 to various attributes.  They feel they have that big stick since they can dominate JP and dominates the little guy trying to run along with others capping...  Let's give them a hand for their skill or was it more like a lack of.

The title of this thread says it all. Midweek SoS guilds decided to hold off on the PvE and give SBI trolls what they want.

Now that SoS has halted all PvE to fight, SBI is coming out with all sorts of excuses as to why they lost a second week. SoS is too stacked? Titan Alliance has reformed? SBI are still in PvE mode? Daish works for Anet? Just stop it, you embarrass yourself and you're server by making pitiful excuses.

SBI has been a main player due to WM / NYS zergs. When the odds are even and doubly backed by the skill of the SoS immortals they crumble and whimper like some half grade tier 4 server.

If you are referring to Titan Alliance at all. Don't! We have PRX and DiE. Which is a pretty big stack I guess. PRX is the best NA guild on GW2 NA servers and DiE is by far the best Oceanic guild. But TA ends there. There is no TA. They are 2 guilds of the some 10 that were in TA.

SBI is stacked with Yaki and SYN. On top of that SBI has WM / NYS. From our point of view it seems like every single map we go onto there is SBI in large numbers there. SBI borderlands proved the difference in numbers and skill over the past 12 hours. It took a zerg of WM with other PUGS which numbered about 50+ about 5 hours to take Dreaming Bay from 20 or so DiE and a few PRX.

The difference in this match up isn't the numbers. It isn't that people are on holidays, have been on holidays, are away, have been hit by hurricanes, are farming the new dungeon, are going for map completion. The difference in this match up is skill. The skill difference between the main guilds on SBI compared to the main guilds on SoS cannot be measured. The difference is just too much.

Enjoy the rest of the match up.

Same could be said about most other servers who couldn't beat HoD when TA was intact no?  If TA did not dispersed for the good of competition, HoD would've slapped SBI like no tomorrow.  It was done before and proven time and time again regardless.  I was in ET and I even couldn't stand the dominance that HoD had.  So, stop saying late to the launch since everyone couldn't beat HoD when they were at their prime.  ET had the stats and advertised as one that should've been able to take on HoD but for whatever reason couldn't.  So quit that bitchin' and get with the program.  The top 6 servers matches are so much more competitive than they ever had been.

If you think I have some form of hate for SBI you must be one of those new bandwagoners Dark was talking about, as I used to constantly praise and say nothing but good things about SBI during the HoD days when you two played together.  Back then, when you lost you kept your mouth shut, said GG, and moved on.  JQ got the JQQ nickname, not SBI, and there was a reason for that back then.

But what you just said is hilarious at best, delusional at worst, and perfectly explains why everyone thinks SBI is a joke right now.  SBI got their only wins when HoD and ET disbanded, causing a massive tier shift.  This is a fact and it's nothing to be ashamed about.  Servers that had no hope of moving out of T2, who were on the bottom of T2, were automatically placed in T1 to go against SBI/JQ as they no longer had competition to go against.  They didn't have the coverage, yet you automatically assume that because they were placed in T1 that they were the same strength as you.  You made jokes about Blackgate, called them stacked (they wern't), and when you beat them acted like you were the greatest server ever while ignoring the fact that BG had issues and many of their guilds were in the process of quitting GW2 to play PS2.

BG right now is in a very close fight to stay in first against SoR as the #4 server with a very low ELO compared to T1, while IoJ is the #6 server and the only reason why they haven't dropped to the next tier is because there is no next tier with coverage.

Then comes SoS, who takes the first two T1 games in a row, and immediately SBI starts QQing and making excuses while simultaneously praising themselves for... what again?  Their Great Comebacks?  Against T2 servers?  And you do all of this while ignoring the fact that before TA and AA disbanded, SBI was winless in T1.

I don't have hate for SBI.  What you are sensing is disgust at your arrogance and perceived self importance over revisionist history.

LOL bandwagoners... I been on this server since the day that HoD slap us silly. So please stop calling everyone a bandwagoner because they can type on a keyboard.

Everyone got there win right due to HoD disbanding including SoS now. So don't give me the AA/ET disband crap. If HoD didn't disband SoS will not be here right now isn't that correct? So everyone has benefit to some degree. Don'teveryone praise there server when they doing well?

Why i'm i delusional when I say that the server is not doing well and will recover in time? SBI is doing fine and even though we are not performing as good as I like but still holding our ground.

Every server has bad apples that like to forum war more and curse other servers but I have NOT once called or accuse any server for anything. So don't generalize the server because of the selected few.

If you're going to make blanket statements by saying I have "hate" for SBI don't be upset when I state you must be a bandwagoner for not knowing a thing about my posting history regarding SBI.  Sucks, doesn't it?

As for everything else, you seem to be misunderstanding.  I'm not taking away anything from SBI.  I believe that if you win, you earned your win.  It doesn't matter if you were against 1 person or 50 million, a win is a win.  No excuses.  But you can't pretend SBI is the greatest thing ever while ignoring their history.  You can't brag about comebacks and winning, while ignoring when and why you starting winning and who you've won against.  You can't brag about how great you are when you're winning, while making excuses as to why your losing when you lose in an attempt to * the other servers you are losing to.

And by "you", I'm not directing this at you specifically but rather SBI.  As for the "bad apples", those Bad Apples are not random trolls.  They are leaders of the SBI WvW community.  They post the same shit only twice as bad on the SBI forums.

The only two SBI I've seen that have held their head up and said GG were Zero and Cover Girl.  Maybe those two posters should represent and run the SBI forms instead of the current crop of fools now.  It makes me feel bad for SBI when I read their posts on the GW2Forums and then come here and read the crap by the "leaders of the alliance".

This dude named Deuce from ATac telling me "get beat bitch," well, you guys are really late to tier one. It's too bad that you couldn't battle WM when a few hundred members would field the maps.

Grats to the Sea of Servers months after launch!

:/

By that metric then only HoD can claim to be the best because we'll never see 24/7 queues in WvW again.
