I haven't played GW2 in a while. I want to play again, but I forgot my password and to reset my password I need my serial code. My serial code email has been long gone since I purchased the digital version on release. Is there anything I can do to play? I've sent a support ticket but no answer yet and it's been a while.

How long is "a while"? A few hours? A few days? If a few hours, it's too soon to expect an answer. If a few days, you should have gotten a response by one or two business days. They shouldn't need your serial number unless there is a dispute about ownership of an account. I have had to have my Guild Wars 1 password reset and it took about one business day. If they haven't responded by a couple of business days, resubmit the SAME ticket. Putting in multiple tickets only slows it down.

They will respond and send you a serial code, but keep in mind that they may be busier over the holiday weekend.
