I bought guildwars  2 with the disks. I installed the first thing where it was downloading. And then it went to the login thing where it starts pacthing and then the screen goes dark blue and i cant do anything and i have to restart the computer by pressing the button.      

Also i have windows 8


How do i fix this problem?

Could be a video driver issue, if you don't have the latest driver for your video card, try downloading it. We have very little info so it's hard to tell. When you say the screen got blue, do you mean a BSOD or just a solid blue color?

It wouldn't hurt to post your specs either.

The screen goes black on the launcher after downloading a few kbs.

Specs

I3 3220

AMD Radeon HD. 6900

8GB RAM

We have not yet updated any graphics card drivers, however will try that tonight. The graphics card that I have doesn't like the most recent driers, so I will try some older ones.
