My guard went down under umpteen stacks of poison in an event just now. Only one other PC running around. I supported that player and pulled agro so they could do their thing. Did they bother to raise me? Nope. I understand not to do so during an attack, but not to during a lull or after the event instead of running around and talking to people? Am I missing something here?

Yeah, I know. Cry more. I really don't get that attitude.

I know, but this game is geared specifically to encourage help. It's not like some games where you're in competition. I always rez. It only takes a few seconds. Doesn't hurt me any and it helps someone else continue their fun. Ah, well. I hung around and watched them so I got the gold medal. Alright, I'm jerk enough to hope they'd buy it, too.

I do not rez naked people, thats about it. If you are playing like an idiot and die I usually let people lay there for a moment and contemplate what they did before I rez them. I rezed people who just stand up and do not move or do anything but die again, but they were fighting before they died. I think some people use death to do a quick afk not always expecting people to rez them right away

some people have tunnel vision.  you were preventing him from doing things uninterrupted his way.  dont take it personally.

as for myself?  ive never been in a situation where i had a reason to not ressurect another player character.

If the person has insulted everyone around him or my mother then I probably wouldn't help him. Other then that, it's free Xp and you get to feel good about yourself, not to mention your ultimately in the same situation many many times.

I dont know, I would also look at a downed Guardian in shock and stagger away not knowing what just happened.

The only time I ever fail to rez someone is if I'm approaching just as they get killed (90% of the time they just rez at a waypoint and don't wait) or if I just rezzed them two or three times and they manage to get themselves downed again.

In the latter circumstance, I usually walk away and leave them to their fate.

If I can revive someone without getting myself killed in the progress then I will almost always do it. I won't revive people who went afk in stupid areas though simply because all that amounts to is broken armor.

points in the rez category so i rez all i can. might wait a bit for health to go up if its low but ill always try to come back and rez

Anyway, the other dude either didn't care or didn't realize. Difficult to prove which one it was. Fortunately it was only one incident...try to move on and think about the better ones you've met.

If I suspect it's a bot then I won't rez it. Otherwise I always try to rez people.

Honestly , some people will always rez , someone people will always not rez.

Most of the normal people will not belong to either side. Most people usually do one , but they might do not feel like it for some reason , is thinking about something else ... god could be tons of reason.

Fact is , yeah most players will usually rez one another , but there are times people simple got their minds of other stuff.

I write down the names of people who do not rez and will pay them in turn. What comes around goes around eventually.

Bots?
If I see a bot clearly in an area it could not handle, I would rez it again and again and again and again and again...

I had the same happen to me in one of that new mini-dungeon.  I started the quest, two joined and they left me for dead just as the first quest of the chain finished.  When a noble soul (I like that message when you're browsing your map ) revived me, those two were still busy with the third event and I re-joined them.   But completely ignored them.  My noble soul left at some point (I think that jumping in the dark put him off).  I did see the other two dieing several times though...  (mis-jumping, which caused you to damage an armour and getting revived automatically).  I finished that event and was at the opposite location to where the last event started: a veteran boss.  Those other two left at that point (I think they gave up as they must have had a nice repair bill!) and I finally finished that boss (which should have been easy for those two, as I had no problems at all solo).  I got the exploration reward, a chest and vindication...

I rez as often as I can. However, what really gets on my nerves is when I come over to rez, often getting out of my way, and rezee ports away... >.<

After a fight always ^.^

If I see someone in compass range who is downed or dead, I will make my way to them unless it's prohibitively difficult or I'm in a hurry to get somewhere. The only exceptions are people who try to use me as a distraction by bringing a large group of enemies to me and then die in the process, or people in the middle of an event who start yelling in /say to rez them when everyone else is busy trying to not get killed themselves. I will pick people up during events if I can, as it's in everyone's best interest to have as many bodies in play as possible, but people who get all entitled about it annoy me.

I might res them.  After the battle is done and I'm not in a hurry to move on.  I most certainly won't res them during the battle, while somebody who his down or defeated and doesn't ask, might get some reviving powder from me...  (Naturally, depending on the situation, as it doesn't help if I die too!)

This. I usually go out of my way to ress people, but annoy me and they can wait for someone else.

Waste of time, it's that simple. If you're not good enough to not get downed during a fight then you're not worth even a split second of my time, although I might run up to you, jump a few times on your dead face and /laugh. Use the waypoint and pay for your lack of skills and expertise. Fair punishment for being a bad player in my opinion. How someone can die in such an easy game is completely beyond my comprehension.

You will go far in being blocked for instance groups.  I have a sneaky suspicion you haven't done instances.

I think your wrong there I suspect s/he has but the fault lies with the server s/he is on, the higher your server is ranked the more "elite" you are, so in their mind anyone on that server shouldn't die, ever.

I will mostly rezz people, unless they over agro and get them selves killed or try to pull the over agro on to me.

I've gotten my second Ascended ring and a backpiece a few days ago. I've done all instances in-game so far with people from my guild. Those players are worth my time unlike randoms met while traveling around who don't understand basic concepts of this game. That being said I've never been in one of those so called pick-up groups. If I wanted to waste my time I'd rather farm Karma instead of dealing with subpar players.
