I have all the ingots, the recipe, and the required crafting disciplines to 400, but when I try and put the ingredients into the forge it greys out the darksteel ingots. (Or if I put in the darksteel ingots first, it greys out the ori, mithril, and plat).

Is it bugged? I don't see what I could be doing wrong.

Edit: Okay, it was a weaponsmithing recipe rather than a forge recipe. I just assumed you tossed all the junk into the forge rather than crafting it. Are there any other gifts that operate like this so I don't panic again?

you will have to use the recipe on your 400 crafting character, go to the weaponsmithing station, and craft it.
it is not a discovery, but it is listed as all the other possibilities ex: refinement, weapons, and so on

Ah, I was specifically referring to the recipes Miyani sells. Fortune doesn't exist as a recipe, it just is a recipe. Er, I think I know what I mean...
