Tell me your thoughts about this topic, about the Largos, or other predictions you might have about future expansions.

And who wants to start a pool as to how many SECONDS after release it would take for the name "Kodan the Barbarian" to be taken? lol

Ah! but what fun is a mystery if it is never solved! and yes they do look like elves (actually WoW night elves with the super long ears and purpleish skin tone) but no one would argue with me to say they are that much cooler than elves

Jormag and Kodan- Kodan just seem like they would have a larger appeal. We get a chance to revisit our old stomping grounds, the Northern Shiverpeaks. I would expect involvement with the Norn. Plus, whatever surprises are still out that way. Lost tribe of stone summit perhaps.
Kralkatorrik and ???- The Elona expansion. Largos just dont seem to fit here. I'm hoping we get a reinvented Dervish from this xpac in lieu of a race. But you can definitely expect some Joko shenanigans.
Bubbles and Tengu/Largos- The Cantha expansion. This would be the perfect expansion for the Largos, but Tengu have been requested as a playable race for a looong time, and are probably one of the most requested playable races. So I would venture the Tengu to get this honor first. Tengu also have a Japanese folklore/legend about them and Cantha being the Asian inspired continent. Not to mention the Tengu are probably getting cramped in the dominion and are looking for more real estate, back in Cantha. Now that Zhaitan is defeated, trade with Cantha can be restored. Only to find out bubbles is causing trouble all around Cantha.
Primordus- I always imagined the Primordus fight as a content update that takes place in the Ring of Fire. And launches in a similar fashion as the Lost Shores, minus the lag. The Dwarves will obviously be involved.
We should also ask, how many new races are feasible? There are a lot of resources(money/time) that go into making a new race. A new starter area, animations, armor, cultural armor, weapons, storymode(voice overs/writing), skills, and more. Adding new professions and weapons almost sounds easy in comparison.
I would expect new weapons, expanded weapon sets for professions, and skills as part of the incentive in every expansion. However, with the major expansions(Elona, Cantha, etc.), I would expect a new profession and a race. The profession and race will most likely have some sort of connection with the continent. Like Tengu and Monk for Cantha. Or Dervish in Elona.

I think I've seen one in-game and that was in the personal story at the end. I honestly don't think we know enough to have a playable race of them. It was a bit random as well since she appeared all of a sudden and then disappeared again. They weren't introduced very well :/
That said, they do look cool. However, I would want Tengu first with some lore explaining just what the heck a largos is and where they have been for the past 500 years or whatever

Largos appear mostly humanoid, but with a pale blue skin and long ears. They have wing-like appendages that attach to the base of their neck which are used for swimming. These "wings" have colorful designs and bear semblance to butterfly wings. They are always seen with a mask on, and their voices sound impaired by a type of breather. They are capable of becoming invisible as they hunt their prey or scout their area. All largos seen have white hair as well, though it's unknown if this is a trait of all largos. (to note, there more Ray-like) http://upload.wikime...Ray_closeup.jpg
Largos are fighters that are trained in killing, often silently, and as such are assassins. They are secretive and do not openly share information - either about them or their techniques. In fighting, largos have only been seen to use dual swords or a spear. They also value strength and one's ability to fight. They train younger generations through apprenticeship, apparently with a one master, one student situation.
There is often mention of the "Concordat of the Tethyos Houses," though what this refers to is unknown as are any details on the Tethyos Houses. However, this is often referred to in regards to an oath of honor a largos has to another individual who has aided them before. Largos also follow Tethyos Compact for their jobs. The exact detail of the Compact is unknown, being a "convened and agreed upon set of principles to guide our people", but can be distilled down to "track it, kill it, and bring proof".
When one of their targets is not killed, or is somehow resurrected, it is a great insult to the house's honor.

And no, they already choose to remain out of sight and not willing to communicate with most people (Sayeh, from what I gathered, only communicates with player character and Traherne in person, and I do not remember any other npcs in Fort Trinity mention that they had conversation with Sayeh, which reinforces their wish to be left alone).
With that said, having them become a playable race, in my opinion, requires considerable amount of justifications and changes in lore that allow them to be played as a player character.

Thank you for pointing out that Apatia met Sayeh as I have not played that "fear" story line yet. But to be honest, I am actually neither for nor against inclusion of Largos. I just hope the devs have enough amount of "whys" to make them so.

if Sayeh has been to fort trinity with Trahearne, apatia has seen her, unless your game bugged and skipped that quest, but the quest before seeing her in F.T requires you and apatia to see what she is, also when you save people from krait, she has escaped the cage which is why you go find her with apatia, then kill something for Sayeh, so i'd be looking into why you havent seen that quest yet, because yeah, its BEFORE Trahearne introduction in F.T with Sayeh come into play

I played other "fear" storylines and Sayeh eventually appeared in Fort Trinity, as well, but that Apatia met Sayeh is a bit of a spoiler for my current quest chain as I have to met Apatia (as a vigil crusader) for the mission.

on a another note to every1 else...there is a SKILL POINT in a high end zone that is a Largo's, proving they dont need/want to remain unseen, since millions of others would of capped that skill point in game.

because the largos are aquatic it would add a new array of under water weapons. Also i think because all other races wear re-breathers underwater, for the largos they would wear it on the surface. it would almost be like there underwater head gear slot would be swapped with there helmet slot, which for other races would allow better armor class, abilities and styles for there re-breathers.
Lastly because arenanet always added 2 profession for every guild wars 1 expansion i feel they will do a similar thing for guild wars 2 to keep players drawn in and so that there will always be something for someone to do no matter what there situation is in the game. they would either add 1 or 2 new races per expansion and or 1 or 2 new professions. so Kodan and Largos, Tengu and.... whatever maybe some kind of jade humanoid will be a race... who knows.
