Makeover kits do not allow you to change anything other than your appreance, it only gives you access to that one page in the character creation process. You cannot change your name, race, profession or background choices.

EDIT: Oh just read above - well weird that it comes with a gender change, but not a name change - say hello to the delicate female going by "HE-MAN HULKSMASH" xD

Also I'd like to try out some other professions, but only if I could jump straight to 80.
Ah got you. Trying out professions can be done in some level in spvp

I've come to terms with the choice I made for a Sylvari female thief. Prior to getting my Tier 3 cultural I was very disappointed in the race. Now I couldn't be happier. That needs to be done now is to choose a better body type, face, and hair color/style and then I'll be happy with my Sylvari Thief.

Only problem woud be cultural armors which could be solved by auto converting them to apropiate cultural armor or just warning you wouldn't be able to use it anymore.

Also yea, I wish they had introduced a name change service with this, it seems like a given since a gender change goes hand in hand with a name change but... common sense has never really been ArenaNets thing.

As for name changes and new hair styles and tattoos and the like, I think there's a pretty high chance that it'll come later. This is something that many people expected on release but it did take awhile to get it in, more stuff will probably be incoming =]

Happening a few times to me, on character swaps. I think it is a login server issue not an item flagging issue. However I did use a make over earlier...

Hey Valk I wouldn't worry about that too much atm, it looks like the login servers are down and a ton of people are being given some strange errors right now.

Well, I guess using unisex name for my character was a good idea.
Anyway, I think there was a name-changing item already in game files. We can only speculate on why it hasn't been added in gem store yet.
