Hey guys and galls,

First off, this thread is not to complain about GW2, plenty enough as it is. I'm just interested in knowing how many of us out there are taking a break from GW2 and going to something else for a while.

My reason for taking a break is simple. Two level 80s with full exotics. Done FotM a bit, had my fun. I now want to do something else for a few months. In my opinion, a gamer should have a wide view of games not just one, but that's just my definition.

I'm repaying Witcher 1, waiting for my copy of Witcher 2 and Dishonored... And eventually Far Cry 3.

Anyone else taking a break, not because they dislike gw2, but for a change of tune?

Of course. I'm slightly burnt out by it to be honest. My gaming breaks are resulted in Hitman: Absolution and when possible Far Cry 3 between a couple of friends. At that point you just want random fun / great solo experience to avoid as much conflicts as possible. Some people can stand it, I don't, personnally.

I will be playing Skyrim and also Team Fortress with friends waiting for clarifications and changes of tune. Also, Wintersday is coming so I will obviously be back to see what they will make, because Im sure Anet can dish out some amazing content for that holiday.

Me neither. I  had a gw2 burnout this weekend and just jump on the Witcher... Even ordered the translated books.

I've been burned out since September. I'm going to do the same thing I did with GW, playing the new content very lightly, and then going back into the game full throttle when there is enough new content to last me for a long session. I started a new playthrough on the Witcher, but I stopped in the middle to play through Assassin's Creed 3 at the moment, pretty decent, a real improvement over the past games but not as memorable. I'm mostly playing it simply because I'm a fan of American history. Waiting on the Dragonborn expansion for Skyrim which should be out in December. It got me in the mood to fire up Morrowind again, and it just so happens that the final Morrowind Overhaul v3.0 was released at the end of September. It makes the game really amazing.

Well, I did get Assassin's Creed III this weekend, so I'll put GW2 on a back burner for now.  I will still play it daily, get my daily reward and I might stick for the rest of the evening, but I think I'll be mostly playing around with AC.  I restarted the series and just finished the first game, so I still have some ways to go till I reach ACIII

Speaking of AC3, I heard that the character is a real douche and much less enjoyable to watch and listen to compared to ezzio. Is that true?

I play another MMO alongside GW2, so I dont really get tired of it. I also play alot of other non MMOs atm, such as AC3 for example I cant stick to just one game.

Not really. Everyone around Connor is actually a douche, Connor's problem is that he can't move on, he's stuck in the past, and practically always sour. This is what makes him different from Ezio who had his fair share of fun moments and dark moments. His father, Haytham, is a far better character. I also have no clue who did the voice acting, but it's amazing,

I felt the same with Warhammer 40'000 Space Marine. Went back to multiplayer and took me a while to get back my old skills.

LOTRO is also an MMO that I enjoy playing with my father on occasion. How to bring family together across the kilometers? Gaming

Having played since launch and only missed one or two daily achievements, I took a break too.  Got Hitman: Absolution, Dishonored and new BF3 content to hold me over until I get the itch again.

Playing SWTOR and subscribed, got about 1000 Cartel Coins. I created a guild a few days ago and we are already 55 members..some of them are probably not coming back but we got a steady 20+.

Burnt out on gw2, myself. Gave Mechwarrior Online a second chance and my mind is blown. I feel like I'm home when I play it. It feels right. It feels like a Mechwarrior game. Gritty. Skill based. Team based. Heavy learning curve. Glorious, glorious mechlab. I have been playing it every day for over a week now and finally feel like my rust is starting to fall away. It and GW2 were my reasons to upgrade my computer a year ago and I'm so glad I did.

Already tried to find something else to play ...  Can't run any of the "new" stuff well enough to be competitive in it.  GW2 was my last hope.

Starting a new hobby instead...  already started learning advanced mesh tweaking and simple animation in 3DsMax, planning to learn Maya next, bits at a time. ..Maybe in time I'll even find a way to make money doing it and will be able to afford a system that can run these new games (I hope).  ...I'll probably be forced to if I expect to get very far in it b/c I've heard people doing the really high-poly advanced stuff in this medium need really beefy CPU/GPU's as well.

I never stopped playing other games. I've been playing Planetside 2, Company of Heroes, Far Cry 2 (in wait for Far Cry 3), Battlefield 3, Civs 5, Borderlands 2, Killing Floor, ArmA 2 and GW2.

Thats on top of getting outside with MILSIM games, hiking, biking, and soon skiing.

One thing that I found very entertaining is hosting Warhammer 40'000 RPG (Dark Heresy) games as game master. Found a way to play as a player at the same time to add more to the game, but the others make the decisions.

Will go back to GW2 for wintersday though.

My old ps3 broke so during BF I got me a new one with AC3. I am so excited over  playing the multiplayer (not a fan of the story mode) and I hope that shit is as awesome as the previous games that I played on the PC, but with more players. Also I forgot that I had pre order 3 games, so now I have like 3 or more vita games to beat including persona 4.

I tried to get back into firefall, but the PvP Queuing is killing me and Not a fan of Ps2.

I can't see how people can only play one game at a time. I mean, okay, maybe initially for the first week or so after release, but after that it just gets boring
I moved on from GW2 after about a week of playing and actually, oddly enough, went back to playing Diablo 3 for a few days. Then I stopped that, played a lot of chess as I studied and recently bought Halo 4 as well as 5 new games on Steam. I also have an urge to play the Sims 3

Meh. Time for chivalrous behaviour. I am here only because of nice atmosphere-for I will not play Guild Wars 2 seeing how ArenaNet is stretching their statements to the max limits. Currently playing Company of Heroes/Heroes VI/Skyrim/Heroes of Newerth/the Witchers. Am also reading them ancient things made out of Wood-what are they called again?, on Warhammer Fantasy High Elves(THE BEST Elves-Golden period.). Could try few f2ps as well...
