i said forget all this crap events and start correct the incredible amount of bugs the game have. impressive how after so many months after release game we can still see the same bugs on classes we could see on BW1....just amazing. i was think thgis company was diferent from others but so far is equal to any other MMORPG company, make content to win money and almost forget correct bugs.
sPVP is dying very very quick, arenanet wanted to make it a e-sport? seem pretty much impossible this game be a e-sport with so many bugs, a very limited setup build/class for tournaments, etc, nope this game will never be a e-sport but can be a grear pvp game if they start correct bugs and forget for a few months add new events that are crap anyway since everyone will be lagging or having some kind of stupid bugs

I've had enough of helping asura for a while. I never liked them to begin with because of their extreme racist attitude in GW1.
Bring back the twin Avatar battles, grenchies, snowball fights, reindeer games. But no more asura.

I hope they redo all the cities with Winterday theme. No need to change Hoelbrak, it's already snowing. XD I do wish they will do Divinity's Reach. I hope they add some winter's music to Uzolan's Mechanical Orchestra, like the Trans-Siberian Orchestra but thats asking to much. Lol

For the Karka stuff, honestly you interacted with and helped Ellen Kiel (human) far more than you did any other NPC, including Levvi (asura). The asura was important, no doubt, and obviously second in importance but she kinda disappears for the Southsun Cove invasion whereas Kiel stayed with you for all three phases. Most people just remember the asura more.

Grenth corrupting some Asura and they become the Grenchies...that would be awesome.
If they play this right, new content, maybe inside robot is a cooly jumping puzzle, add a couple costumes and a special 3-pack on holiday minis to the Gem Shop...maybe throw 2-3 skins in the BL Chest...don't go too crazy with gem shop stuff...the cool decor in the cities, maybe some mini quests like the scavanger hunt(only making sure it works this time), and maybe add a couple Legendary Recipes to make some Winterday Themed weapons(make like 3 that would span all the professions like Long Bow, Staff, and Dagger as an example), add in a couple cooly PvP maps themed on Wintersday with a special WIntersday Tourney or some such...just lots of simple things to celebrate...would be great...that way people wouldn't have to go bat-s*%$ crazy trying to get everything to be uber...so we can all have a fun Wintersday...even the teams at ANET could be a bit more relaxed...
But hey, who am I kiddin'...there are some that would condemn something that simple and enjoyable...HAVE TO BE 1337, UBER DOMINATION!!! GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!
No matter, I'm looking forward to see what the teams come up with and plan to enjoy it...also gonna make a point to go back to GW1 and get the hats I had missed and pay my respects to the WIntersday Dwarf.

Looks more like an alien invasion to me. I don't think I would trust anything that thing gives me.
...or maybe a giant pinata.
I say let's shoot it down and find out. That way, we win either way.

But... The RNG problem has gotten worse every holiday so far:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Halloween, you could direct purchase most of the content but a few things were in RNG chests with insane drop rates. The most expensive stuff was about 30 gold typically.
Lost Shores? Minipets were no longer direct purchase.. you had to gamble. Costume parts were no longer direct purchase. Etc.
What does this mean? We can expect the actual value of any minipets and such to sky rocket if this trend continues.
There is one good improvement about lost shores events structure: The majority of the items were fairly cheap due to the drop rate.
The mini's however... were not. They are several times more expensive than the halloween pack by a large margin.
Halloween minis: 6-ish gold or 500 gems for the entire pack of three. About 2 gold per pet.
Lost shores minis (with debateable comparable quality) were around 10 times that last I checked.
Wintersday: The primary npc will be a toy maker. Toy maker just -might- mean minis.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not saying it will, but even though there was major backlash about certain things not being available for direct purchase during halloween, they pulled a 180 and made it worse for the lost shores event. Compare the cost of the halloween minipet -pack- to just the karka minipet.
There is a brightside, they changed things.. That means they realize there is room for improvement and they haven't gotten the formula down. Certain items were very cheap in gold as I stated.. The ship in a bottle focus (while I don't want it) was like 40 silver at one point.
I am afraid that there will be alot of "minitoys" and alot of grinding necessary to gain them... or a hefty fee due to the gold transfer cost. There will probably be certain things which are very available and certain things that are like the karka stuff.
Also, this increasing difference will further encourage market manipulators to cause the transfer cost to go even further out of whack if the above things prove to be true. I have seen people make 200 gold easy due to simply manipulating the structure of these events.
I hope things go smooth this time though!
Maybe they won't go further toward RNG? Who knows..~
I guess we will see when it comes, all I know is that I will be far too busy visiting family to grind out 100+ gold so I can get all the event items and as a completionist I am kind of cursed with feeling the need to.
Either way? It will be fun! Hopefully they will use the data from the previous events to come to a solution that is both acceptable for the majority of players and profitable for them. More people will buy by a factor of at least 10 if the quasi micro becomes true micro transaction and allows direct purchase alternatives that are more feasible. Thats how it worked for our business anyway.
I look forward to it though!

Don't even mention the possibility of an update coming that soon. People on this site will go crazy with speculation then cry and kill themselves when it is not released

Anyways, I am just hoping that this doesn't become another debacle. The limited events so far have been just atrocious, from both a technical and iterative viewpoint. I really hope they get their act together, because it's going to get very ugly (and empty) if the current trajectory continues.

I don't know why you would think I think that either.
OUR holidays are ridiculous in a fantasy world. Particularly the modern versions of them that feature 19th and 20th century inventions like plastic creatures, candy corn, jack-o-lanterns, and the commercialized mess that modern Christmas has become.
If you think aviator glasses, chainsaw swords, and polymer-bending computers make sense in a world still throwing around steel maces, I'm not going to argue the issue. But I think Anet knows when they are trolling people, and that happens to be something Asura are very good at.

Just like we as humans dress up as aliens or scify characters even though we certainly dont have the kind of technology mimicked You have to draw inspiration from somewhere, get over it. I think it makes much more sense for a company to make connections with the world around them instead of making crazy events that will mean nothing to the player base since it doesnt equate to anything.
