If you think aviator glasses, chainsaw swords, and polymer-bending computers make sense in a world still throwing around steel maces, I'm not going to argue the issue. But I think Anet knows when they are trolling people, and that happens to be something Asura are very good at.

I'm not sure if you've noticed... but the races in Guild Wars 2 are no longer simply slinging steel maces around. The Asurans are crafting functional, mechanic and robotic golems to do their bidding for them. The Charr have many mechanical siege weapons in their home lands, with major rotating mechanical parts; I believe I even saw something that resembled a functioning "car" like vehicle. Engineers have function turrets and many of the professions are hauling around some form of powder firing guns.

Aviator glasses, chainsaws and polymer-bending computers make perfect sense.

They should have a family of Norn called the Storks, with a flag of a stork head, who are super into Wintersday, like decendants of Helga, Galbraum or Brartak, and who have the family motto: "Wintersday is Coming"

Also, years ago I thought they ought to have three Asura dress up in blue, green and red robes named Alvaan, Psymin, and Merkle sing a song about wanting a Miniture Thaum Accelerator Ring.  Ha! I just realized they could do that with Prodgeny now!.

Regardless of some of the cynical misery's that always seem to post their pessimism with things like this, I am looking forward to this event! I loved Halloween....it wasn't perfect, but so far ANet are creating the best mmo holiday-themed events I've ever played.

Jesus, part of me has a hard time understanding why Anet even bothers making more content for the game considering how bitchy this community has become. People can't even be excited about more content in the game without it being criticized and prophesied to fail.

I, for one, am looking forward to what Anet does this next coming Friday. I'm crossing my fingers for the return of the snowball fight mini-game from gw1.
