i was wondering if i would be able to make a thread for guild recruitment for Darkfall: Unholy Wars in the Gamer's Lair section. (or the off topic section). or if that was alowed on this guild wars 2 site. before i do or did i wanted to see if that was kosher. thanks.

Unfortunately, I'd have to say no to this. You're best off finding a Darkfall fansite to recruit for your guild.
