[AMIX_GW2]

First off, sorry if this post has already been made, and I have seen this on Reddit before but  for anyone who does not already know, a really great GW2 LFG tool exists.

I have not made this but its really useful and I use this myself .. the more people who use it the more usefull it becomes. The site is great in the sense that it has no BS and is complete straight forward.

I wish i could remember who created this but many thanks to him/her/them

well that doesn't matter because of overflow, its a combination of all the servers specific to your region.

just find a name via the LFG tool and type/copy&paste it:

/join (Players Name)

or

/invite (Players Name)

Nowadays LA has a overflow map most of the time

Ye works well, for fractals. Rarely for dungeons. Not a website fault, it's a community ones
It's spreading enough well, no need of this thread. Reason because is more easy to be grouped using that website than waiting endless hours a map pop LFM, or spamming LFG fractal lv x

This website does work a treat
It works really well for dungeons as well, actually. I've been grouped many times with people who were doing the dungeon I actually wanted to do

True, one every 100 post is a LFM dungeon x. Sad, most ends up with people leaving for a LFM lv20 daily (etc) or waiting endless a miracle happens. I joined an arah run (regular run) yesterday. When joined i saw FINALLY ****, the 5th... I didn't ask how long they was waiting, sorta of 2 hours.. (Not a website fault, i repeat)

I just read about this website this morning. Can't wait to give it a try! Maybe one day there will be some sort of tool for dungeon grouping (other than LA spam).

Well Fractals screwed up every other dungeon in the game, and Anet screwed up Fractals with levels.......

GZ who ever made this site worthy effort no doubt, but this kind of thing should be part of the game not fan base project !

It's sad we have to rely on a third party website to accomplish getting a group in game.

I heard about this yesterday, but I am confused as to how it works exactly. I thought it was not possible to group with people on a different server?

You cannot group with EU players if you're NA, yes. Crossserver group works only on overflow, so all have to move on same overflow

How would you get into the same overflow without being in a group? Pure luck? And how does that work for all the dungeons that are not located in Lion's Arch? Those zones usually do not have overflows after all.

I used this last night to find a great group for fractals.  With 10 seconds of posting a group of 3 people PMed me asking if I was still looking.

The more uptake by the community this gets, the better it will be

It's related just about fractals, not dungeons. You have to look the player protrait. If you see overflow, and you're on your main server, join him. Right click on his portait, join in Lion's Arch
If noone is on an overflow, you have to ask someone on overflow to carry you there, kick the overflow guy and reinvite the 5th

I've had quite good experience using this for getting any kind of dungeon groups (except Fractals because I'm not going near that with all the different issues). But when I see something that's more than 10 minutes old I assume that this person forgot to delete his post, so it might be a good idea to create another one to increase your chances of getting a group.

You know, if the game actually had a worthwhile LFG tool (just look at the one in GW1 as a decent example), then there wouldn't be a reason to go outside the game to find a group. Hopefully they'll start working on one soon, but it's mot in the works right now, so I'll remain hopeful.

I'm sorry, but I just don't enjoy going ontside the game to find useful ways to play the game.

Interesting that you are currently outside the game, on a fan forum, throretically because you are looking for info that might be useful in the game...

But I degress.  Yes it would be nice if there was one in game, but they have limited Dev time, and this did not make the cut for them.  Its a good filler until its put in game.

Works fine for me. I've been doing CoE and SE runs on the side with gw2lfg.

Just used this today for the first time. I was quite impressed actually, found a FoTM group for my level in under 5 minutes. Actually very skilled players might I add, went on to do 2 full runs with little difficulty

been using it for a week or so for regular dungeons, but as it gains more popularity the spam of fotm is making regular dungeons seem to pop up less and less.  generally speaking however I can find what I want to run between it and LA spam.

its a feature that should be in the game anyways however.

I have no qualms with saying THANK YOU to the dev of gw2lfg.  I found out about it last weekend, did some FOTM and HotW, and both pugs were excellent (I know that's just luck).  I wholeheartedly applaud someone picking up the ball that ANet dropped.  As much as the dev should be applauded, ANet should be taken to task for leaving such a crucial, and obvious, element out of the game.

I always run 2 comps -- one I game on, the other is open to all sorts of websites, many of them GW2-related (guru, official forums, wiki, reddit, gw2lfg, and the dragon timer).

The good thing for me, in regards to other dungeons is that I can quickly check that to see if there are groups forming while carrying on with whatever I'm doing, rather than having to go to LA, and to outside the dungeon (or dungeons depending on what I want to do) and wait for a while to see if there are any shouts for groups.

I don't mind farming/pvp/wvw/jumping over fences like I would be doing anyway, while in a constant search on the site, it's working well

Every time I've used this I've found a group for what I'm looking for in less than a minute. There's no reason to not have this in game.
