Wow, congratulation to JQ for an awesome push this weekend.  You guys have some suprising tactics, and your ability to move a large coordinated team behind the lines undetected had my scouts pulling their hair out!  Congrats on beating out SBI for second, noone can say you didnt earn it!

Keep up the great work everyone, I know for those of us in TSYM, as long as there are commanders to face, and teams to fight, WvW will always have something for us.  Its never been the novelty of new opponents, or the gold/loot/achievements we got from WVW, its the thrill of the hunt, the fury of the battle, and the move, counter move, counter counter move side of the game that will have us chomping at the bit for more each week.

The TA guilds didn't say anything until they disbanded and when they did disband they cited competition not being there, WvW being shit, and bandwagoners being unappreciative trash who did nothing but harass people all match.  Not exactly the same thing as saying "no new opponents".  TA was bored of no competition while everyone else is bored with competing against the same people every week.

I didn't mind the ELO system originally but now I think it's shit.  First place should move up, second stays, third should drop.

I pretty sure they said all of the above. We are totally on the same page in regards to the ELO system too. I'm not sure how to fix it all other than the suggestion you just made.

  No, I say that SoS sucks in PVP, because they do. End of story.

  JQ used to suck, too...but the mediocre PVPers are long gone, and only the dedicated, quality PVPers remain.

  I never had a bad word to say for the Titan Alliance because they not only had numbers, but they were very good.

  Since they broke up, every server has a core of quality players and some portion of subpar players.,....you know...transferees and front runners,....like you, for example.

JQ won a few tier 1 match-ups and we did beat SBI at least once if I recall correctly and it wasn't even close but that was a different SBI than the beast we saw for quite some time. But seems Tier 1 has taken its toll again.

Wow whatever happened to the NA wvw crew at sbi? Not enough showing up to defend the borderlands at least. This keeps happening for the last few days now. I won't be surprised if the server falls off T1.

Its funny that you can make an assumption of my player skill and how long ive been on the server based on a post I made. You must be a wizard.
The fact that you can make such a huge claim that all SoS players are bad is clear show of bad sportsmanship.

SoS becomes top rated WvW PvP server and they suck at PvP.  I feel bad then for how terrible every other server is at PvP then.

Bits? PRX (arguably former TA's largest guild), RMA, DiE and ELTE (that are not playing PS2). If ULTD moved to SoS the server would have the bulk of TA that are still playing GW2 in an organized way.

There was a time where TA was accused of stacking on Blackgate. Well, of those that moved to BG when TA broke ...

And there you have it. It's weird to hear someone praise the former TA and say SoS sucks in PVP in the same sentence. Something does not compute.

The problem is that SoS didn't become top rated in WvW due solely to skill, it's more because of coverage. We've had the numbers and the time coverage to keep edging it out. I'm not saying SoS is devoid of skill, or that SoS sucks in PvP, but skill isn't the main reason we became top rated.

Honestly, SoS is only up there because our most PEAK time coincides with everyone else's lowest pop times. (Oceanic ftw).

Due to that, PRX etc transferred here for better coverage.

Take that coverage away and we would probably be T3 or 4.

You can say that about any server so I don't see the point "if they don't have coverage they don't won't be tier 1".  So, if you're in tier 1 your server obviously has coverage, it's just that some coverage is better skilled and more dedicated.

7 days ago you were behaving all smug, sinking the boot into SoS for not putting up a fight while SBI was 25k in front. You assured me that you were not being a poor sportsman and you did this to anyone that doesn't put up a fight. If that were true then you should be giving a good look at yourself right now, instead of trying to diminish the success of your opponent.

If coverage was SoS's only strength, we'd still be in tier 2.

From my perspective, when I play there are clever tactics constantly being used by many guilds on the server. When the battles are equal numbers (or they're out manned), they use these tactics to their advantage to both out think and out play their opponents. Despite our attendance being the lowest that it's ever been( same for all servers in WvW), SoS has still been working together as a team around the clock, 24 hours a day, no matter how few.

You've got to do the best you can with the hand you're dealt, and if you can't win then the other team deserves full credit. I would still be saying the same words if we were 200k behind, a lot of us on SoS have been there before, we know what it's like.
