Is there an online tool that simulates PvE equipment and stats? Every site I have found only does it for PvP equipment. I want to plan out my equipment so I don't waste all my coin/karma/badges on equipment I may not need.

It isn't really very helpful. It accounts for insignia/inscriptions/jewel on what I presume is a base of level-80 exotics. There is no way to plan masterwork or rare 80s, account for upgrade components, etc. Even some of the build calculators have better calculators for exotics. In other words, it falls far short of being a planning tool that can help someone chart a path from their current equipment to where they want to be.
