Hey guys I need help I'm stuck between guardian and mesmer. I want a class that can survive 2v1s and big zergs. My fighting style is a class that does really good damage, survives 2v1s with heals and lots of tool to keep the m alive. And again I want this for pvp and wvw with an exception to pve but mostly anything with wvw and pvp I need help

Sounds like you want to play guard or thief, guard for less damage output and more team utility and thief for straight up DPS and fall back on evading and stealthing for survivability...

I would say Mesmer for 1vs1 and guardian for wvw. Mesmer is harder to master but for my opinion best solo PVP class. For some point i like guardian more in team fight.

If you want the best flexible class, pick the guardian. If you want utility and damage, pick the mesmer. None of them will handle 2v1 unless YOU can handle 2v1. And no class can engage a zerg, unless the zergs collective intelligence match that of a half retarded snail trying to operate a keyboard with its eyes.

I would say Mesmer.

Skill held constant, you'll die in 1v2 and 1vzerg.
Skill not held constant... Pick one and get good at it.

both classes can survive 2 vs 1's, whether or not anything will come from that 2 vs 1 is another story.
Mesmer is more useful in WvW imo (it's a tight race they're both great), staff + focus + glamour = turning the tide in zerg vs zerg wars.

I'd vote for Mesmer. I main both Ranger and Mesmer, and I'm currently leveling a Guardian. With Mesmer, I feel like I can fill more rolls in WvW. I can reliably escape, and I have so many fun little tricks. With greatsword, I do well in zergs or defending a keep. Basically, I don't have to run in small groups to feel effective.
Mesmer is a ton of fun to play, has great utility, and can still get kills from across a battlefield or from a keep wall.

Guardian is not a good damaging class at least without becoming brittle. Mesmer is probably the best survivable class with decent damage but somebody who knows how to fight one can bring them down pretty quick. Sounds like you want to play the thief actually. The only class that can handle themselves against decent multiple opponents and can escape a zerg while spiking a ton of damage. The Elementalist could also fall into this category but doesn't spike damage when survive-ability is upped.
Ultimately what you are asking for really doesn't exist. Most classes have to trade off damage for survival with the exception of the thief but I suspect the thief is going in for an overhaul at ANet soon.
