I dunno if this has been asked before but...

What's the deal with the skill? sometimes it seems not all 9 hits connect, just 5 or 6. I have to practically be on top of a monster to get the maximum damage from it.

Does it have any special way to be used or something?

no, the projectiles just fly off in a random direction. they're meant as an AoE, and not a single target attack.

It is buggy, if your too close sometimes hits miss, just keep a small distance from your targets and group them up to kill them all at once.

This ^, the mele part of the attack will always hit everything within range but the projectiles tend to be very random in what direction they go.
