Mesmer Phantasm Condition Damage Build

Hi guys, this is my build.

The thing is I am uncertain if my Runes of the Ogre are the right ones, and I've been considering Rune of the Thief or Rune of the Nightmare.

My build is 10/20/20/0/20 and I use Staff of Force and Sword/Pistol 2x Battle, with a Focus of Hydromancer to speed myself up.

I play it as semi-roamer or full roamer and basically I am my team's solo defender or cap point contest player.

I tend to get up close and fight in the cap circle. I usually lead off with S/P and follow up with Staff, to stack conditions and outlast my opponents.

Finally, I am using Carrion Amulet with Rampager Jewel.

I have no problems soloing any other class I meet but fights tend to last for at least 50 seconds until I outlast my opponents.

Please advise and justify your comments. Thank you!

Not an sPVP player, but the build looks pretty solid to me.

   Two things I would change;

  I would swap Illusionary Elasticity for Phantasmal Haste. This is just an overall DPS increase.

   I am not a big fan of Rune of the Ogre, I prefer Rune of Divinity. It gives you a LOT more stats overall, making you tougher. Your power will go down, but your crit rate will go up, and your crit multiplier will go up.

  This is more a matter of personal taste....but I think Rune of Divinity will give you the same, or slightly better, overall DPS and make you more survivable at the same time.

  If you REALLY like the power, then Rune of the Pack would give you the same power, but also an additional 100 Precision....which equates to +5% critical hit and more damage on crits....plus a 5% chance to grant your allies buffs, including Fury, with only a 10 second CD.

  Never underestimate the ability to give a whole group Fury. That's huge.

   I am not sure if it would apply to illusions or not, but if it does, that is even MORE huge.

Illusionary Elasticity is good for staff build, especially if you equip pistol offset. 1 extra every bounce is good in team fight.

I only use Phantasmal Haste if I am doing shatter where I have to swap and time as many illusion as possible.
