It looks better then I thought it would, I'm legitimately hyped for it. I wonder how much Morrowind lore they'll destroy this time.

Late to what? Who cares about the Summerset Isles? At the end of the day modders content isn't any better than content from Bethesda. I can't remember the last time people made a mod with worthwhile content.

And I believe you need to double check your sources. Skyrim has been out for nearly a year now and modders haven't added any new content in the likes of rebuilding Cyrodiil or Morrowind & Vvardenfell. Skywind has only just begun it's work, and now they're probably going to scrap some of the models because this DLC will add vanilla models. There were some mods that just copy pasted models from Oblivion to Skyrim. That's nothing. Tamriel Rebuilt is an example of a real mod.

And Tamriel Rebuilt took 10 years to finally release. And it's only half of Morrowind.

This add-on fixes my main problem with Skyrim, repetitive mobs/areas.

I still haven't started Dawnguard, but this Dragonborn DLC looks pretty nice :) I don't care much for the mushroom houses or whatever, but the new enemies, quests, items and possibly shouts is something to look for :)

you are so wrong...
there are tons of mods that make skyrim a hell better game. SureAI is even working on a new overhaul of it, and Nehrim is hell lot of fun. You can say that bethsoft makes better stuff, but they get ideas from modders too. In fact, they recruited a modder from morrowind that modded a decapitation mod.

My point is that modders improve already existing content and further polish it. They rarely ever create their own worthwhile content. About 75% of armors are reskins of existing armors or are imported from other games like the Witcher 2..

this....i have to agree. Only a few are actually 'original' and 'new'
Though i m not tired of seeing more armor mods. hentai and anano did A lot of amazing clothes and armors. Too bad i think Hentai(aka zotman12) isnt doing anymore

tbh i wished gw2 had all the additional hairstyles created by modders.

The animations look very stiff. And by very, I mean extremely.

It piqued my interest though, however, as long as it's subscription based, I am staying away from it.

A year isn't a lot of time. 3 or 4 years is a lot of time.
This is from a completely new team, with lots of fresh people that have no idea what they're doing. They have no focus, they're just fumbling around trying to figure out what works.

That looks pretty sick. I'm a Argonian fan (never have played any other race in my many many hours of Elder Scrolls) and this is an island outside of the Black Marsh. Sounds awesome I'll keep my eye on it.

I am in dire need of advice on mods!

I am looking for upper quality mods relating to: Magic(sth Like Mighty Magic from Oblivion if possible-I'd Like all the Colleges to be useful in both offensive AND Defensive way{LOVE Alteration and Illusion, but they are more or less useless :(}), general Balance of skill trees and mods such as Living Economy. Mods such as Fran/OOO/MMM are good but not required. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for informing us about Andoran Rhod :D!

Now I'll do my part:

Go to moddb. Under Oblivion find Nehrim and download. Also check Enderal-the next chapter in the story of Nehrim(in Skyrim section). Arktwend is a prequel built on a Morrowind engine which you may but do not have to play. Nehrim and Enderal are must plays tho...

Matt Firor and Paul Sage are hardly new to the industry.  Ultima Online anyone?  DAoC?

Right LoL!

In addition to previous categories I wondered if there is a mod that makes Dragons unique, but powerful entities. That would mean NO Respawning Dragons that are, on avg, more powerful.

Respond for all of those categories!

Thank You very much! :) :D

Not quite sure I understand if you want more powerful dragon or not lol, but if you do, this mod is absolutely fabulous http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13930
It doesn't just mindlessly buff dragon with more hp and damage, It makes them unique by giving them skills and different mechanic.

As for magic, I used this, There are some very awesome skills. Although some may be a bit over powered.

I haven't touched skyrim since the 24th of august though, I hope they are not outdated.

Concerning Dragons-yes that mod'll do(as long as they don't respawn-I want to have effect on the world dam it!). I want interesting and challenging Dragons, not mere BUFF Dragons.

Concerning spells-that mod is certainly nice, but it is more alike to Midas Magic/Lost Telvanni Codex than it is to Mighty Magic. If you never played Oblivion with it-it rearranged spells that are Already in the game to reach a point where all schools are useful-both Offensively and Defensively. It also changed values(cost/dmg/...) in order to achieve a Sense of progression(I'll never forget Legendary Wound Spell-it drained ONE THOUSAND health!!!! Insta-gib LoL  haha! But it costs 534 Magicka and requires 100 Illusion). And yes, drain  went to the Illusion(just think about it: Drain Spells DO NOT damage a being, they merely modify the attributes of a being by convincing it that something happened. Now is that Destro or Illu?), Absorb to the Restoration(Resto is about Balance and taking from unjust/evil to give to the just/good-is that Myst or Resto?), Mysticism and Alteration got few new tricks. All in all, it made playing a mage awesome and it truly gave you unparalleled Sense of freedom.

Edit: By the way... Did anyone figure out how to bring Back Mysticism? It was very stupid to remove it(but Hey! It's easier to remove than it is to reinvent/fix)...

Do not think of me as of lazy person(ok maybe I am lazy but that is Besides the point now :D), but there are SOOOOO many mods to choose from that I need recommendations(LoL!)...

Edit Edit: Not necessary anymore! That Magic mod gave me a link to G.E.M.S. That'll do! Thank you!

I played Oblivion but I don't think I used Mighty Magic. Or I don't remember using it. I had a Sorceress for a while, but combat magic in oblivion always felt weird to me so I ditched her.

There might be one listed there: http://vgtes.wikia.c...m:Modding/Magic

Can someone help?

After playing a bit with Skyrim and getting what I want, I came to some sort of empty feeling. On one hand it is not Warhammer, of which I can not stop thinking while playing Skyrim-and that disappoints me greatly. Why is this present? I loved Morrowind/Oblivion-why do I keep comparing Skyrim to Warhammer(maybe all the Dragons remind me of Dragonwake and Kingdom of Caledor?)? I should mention that I have some unresolved business in Warhammer Online...

The second problem is that it is not with live players and in the same vein I hate live players. Take MOBAs for example, I enjoy them thoroughly, yet almost every second day I get into hectic flames that involves me chauvinistically insulting someone's nation(sometimes even nations I Like. Why does that happen?). And why would a player rather play Flame Wars(another name for MOBA genre) instead of beautiful game such as Skyrim? Surely LoL/HoN aren't better than Skyrim is...

Finally, I feel lost(and I prefer Sandboxes to Themeparks). I don't know what to do(after doing the Factions my character would do) and the world is too immense. I prefered Morrowind's(actually Vvardenfel's size to this Huge/bloated thing). And I am not to keen on Vikings/their Mythology/Dragons. Really, I hate Dovahkiin plot(how is anything but a Nord/Imperial supposed to be one?)...

Those things perplex me. Have I just outgrown TES or is Skyrim really somehow worse than Morrowind/Oblivion?

And yes, I am both unemployed and not studying anything. How did you know that was the case Rhod?

Anyhow, I'll give Skyrim plenty o chances. TES deserves it...

The only Real problem is that feeling of being lost. But Hey! Maybe that is good?
