I was wondering just what would happen if you salvaged your ever so precious legendary weapon. Would you get 0-5 ectos since they have the same stats as exotics or other special things, maybe they'd give you back a couple of gifts? I doubt anyone is willing to try this but I'm really curious about it.

Salvage Kits give you 66% the items you invested at best...I salvage a lot of things, from whites to exotics but man you'd have to be crazy to salvage a Legendary!

the realisation that arena net never bothered to create a salvage loot table for legendary weapons and as such you get nothing.

To answer, yes, some ectos (even none), base mats, the sigil. Use master kit.

What I want to know is what happens when you toss 4 legendaries into the mystic forge. That's the real mystery

This is not a sufficient sample size. I demand to see 1000 more salvages of legendaries before I make a final judgement.

I don't buy the sob story about him having a wife or what not.
Just seems like someone raging with the game,decided to quit and thought of the biggest way he could be an ass about doing it.

Haha he should've used a master's kit Maybe that was the mistake. 0.1 % chance of salvaging some kind of legendary crafting material!

In all seriousness, glad someone has a video of this. I was always curious about it.
RL is RL. Sometimes stuff happens, and if you're going to quit might as well go out in style.

At any rate, the cheapest legendary right now costs ~400g (for the cash portion), which is not really a lot of money. Anyone desiring a larger sample size should start there

Yes, some person who you've never heard of, and never would've heard of without this video, salvaging a weapon is "being an ass".

Are you kidding me? Him salvaging a legendary has no effect on anyone but himself. Why would he lie about IRL taking over? He has a legendary, clearly he has an addictive personality. He made a choice to quit the game because he knew it would get in the way.

Seems like an easy choice for me, I guess to someone without priorities it isn't though.

These videos are probably made by some addict guys who need something to do in order to leave the game and make sure they'll never come back...

And as said above, it's a good way to make the community mad. I don't think they deserve more attention, but! at least the question is now answered: we get a "legendary" ore or log
