Too bad SBI will never be First in the Tier.
What a joke.

Here's JQ poster and SBI poster each one blaming the other for not attacking SoS. I don't know which game you've all been playing lately. I've been part of fights against SoS that last hours. I've also scouted and seen SBI fighting SoS (until SBI saw me and zerg rushed me for NO REASON! DO YOUR JOB!).
I don't hear calls to fight SBI and leave off SoS. I see everyone trebbing everyone else. I see fights. All over from all sides against all servers. I've even seen SoS get bored and fight themselves for a tower! I've seen SBI launch a rocket up to the moon and fight JQ from SPACE.
I am officially calling BS on all this 'strategy'. The fact is SoS can field enough players to roll 3 maps at once. JQ can challenge one map and hold on for life in EB. SBI can attack 2 maps at certain times of the day, and zero at others. Hence, the score. The only reason JQ moved into second is ecause we got an infusion of oceanic blood last week.
EVEN IF
JQ and SBI were to cease all hostilities towards each other, our COMBINED FORCES would just barely match SoS's numbers, and we'd still have to split the pie somehow or secretly agree to boost one of us to 1st while the other takes 3rd to HOLD a lead. You guys are dreaming. Unless one or the other gets a huge guild to transfer or SoS completely loses interest, no amount of hand holding short of deliberately throwing a match to dethrone SoS will work.
Ain't. Happening.
Meanwhile, we can all sit around blaming each other. Carry on.
EDIT: This is not to say SoS, SBI and JQ don't use strategy. Everyone does. I just question how effective a truce between SBI and JQ would actually be.

Therefore, WvW is an order of magnitude LESS fun then it used to be, but still fun if you just want PVP and forget about thinking of WvW as any kind of competition.
It's just something to do.
And something that isn't going to get you anywhere doing it, since badges are utterly useless for anything other than buying siege for doing something useless.
By the way....
Has anyone pointed out that this is Wednesday, in a T1 matchup, and we don't even have 200 posts in this thread?
That pretty much speaks for itself.

Nice one day notice. Something tells me that if the February WvW update is decent a lot of PS2 and DF:UW PvPers will be back.

Are you trying to discuss the smell of the beans? If that's the case you have to be more specific on whether it's coffee beans or something like soybeans.
Oh yeah, I'm not too happy with all this golem rushing that SoS is doing. You guys better step off or I unload my army. D:

This has been a very close match. Much props to all three servers for the fun in the sun.

there are never elementalists (except me) shielding our siege. there are never battles of attrition where SBI strategically builds siege and pushes forward against all odds. no, SBI runs in like suicidal maniacs repeatedly trying to take territory with manpower opposed to siege. it's a total mismanagement of resources, a total disregard of seige and strategy, and an obstinate, pigheaded, stubborn approach to wvw that would work better if we actually had the manpower to overcome anything (which we don't).
seriously, spend the gold to buy siege. spend the badges to buy siege. drop siege in battles. carry resources on you at all times. BASIC wvw strategies that SBI has not had to traditionally rely on. it feels like we're reserving resources for epic fights that we just don't ever get in because we don't even get the first foot in the door. it's not up to the commanders to direct you, supply you, siege you, and win for you. SBI needs to pull together as some kind of cohesive unit, meaning EVERY individual needs to contribute to being a team.
it's disgusting at this point.

I've played PS2, DF2 in the last week or so and to be honest there is a fair amount of criticism that could be made about each one. I really don't know what is so attractive about FPS MMOs, because in FPS you require the lowest ping possible to be effective. Sure you can survive if you have 220ms, but whenever you face someone of equivalent skill the lowest ping will usually win (try playing CS with 340ms and come back if you have another opinion). There are other reasons I could go into why I think people will drop the game after the shinies fade away, but if the updates in February aren't worth it I doubt the guys who left for PS2/DF2 will come back. We'll have to wait and see.
