EDIT: Seriously? NO ONE is commenting here about the first gameplay video of Dark Souls 2? INCREDIBRU!
My impressions are that graphics have been improved significantly and gameplay wise, I feel it a bit awkward, like if the character animations were faster than in DS1.

They will be using dedicated servers.

I'd just like to be able to continue playing with my friends in co-op without having to re-summon after every boss fight.

Can we even invite friends on Steam/Xbox Live/Playstation Online to our games?

I think I read somewhere that they were working on making multiplayer more "direct". But "direct" is a very broad term in that context so no clue.

Get you and your summoning compadre to follow this guide for instant summoning happiness. Makes the speedruns I have with my roommate fifty times more awesome: No more wait!
Regarding DS2: TOO MUCH HYPE CAN'T STAND IT OH GOD

That would make the game a lot easier, a mistake DS2 can't make. This is not a happy-go-lucky game to breeze through with a friend. This is one of the best experiences in game history because of the way it makes ppl feel. Summoning help for a boss is ok, but doing whole game with 2? To gank invaders? It just doesn't sound very "Dark Soulish" to have someone pick this game up for its co-op. There are loads of hot-knife-in-butter experiences out there for you and your friend. Let there be a game that is actually challenging for a change. Thank you.
