You mean because they suck and you would like to play one in wvw but you are sick of having people just watch you shoot them then they walk away and go find something else because you are a waste of their time?
I feel ya. I rolled a warrior.

No offense to the guys who have ranger mains out there (i've leveled one to 80 myself), but ranger DPS is laughable and the class has been nerfed so hard that If you are aiming for any kinda ranged DPS you'll have to use the super secret Ranger exploit. Press F12, go to character select, and roll a warrior.
Examples; Ranger DPS vs Warrior DPS

None taken. Warrior was my first toon during head start. I wasn't happy so I went ranger from level 1-80 in wvw. They were great early on while people were low level but damn did they start suckin once people got geared up.

-portal
-lack of rewards/incentives
-people complaining about night capping (it's a 24-7 world, Americans aren't the only ones playing)
-inability to defend a wall when not using an arrow cart.

Ranger DPS is bad? Dude, I play an engineer. I'd rather be a Ranger.

We know this, but people should not be able to join servers outside of their time zones.

I'm not going deny that WvW has it's flaws, but they aren't game-breaking to point where you can't change your attitude about WvW. There are plenty of people who lose and still enjoy it. They respect the rules and learned to accept the balance, even if it's not to their liking.

There is nothing fun about the way you lose in WVW now. Heck, I don't see how servers with night capping guilds call it "fun" either.
face it, the guilds in the top tiers aren't there because they are good, they are there because they have the largest number of out of hour guilds.
Which comes down to arenanets faults. They have designed it to happen, so they are to blame.

Other than that WvW is fine, I have fun every day and am looking forward to doing the same shite over and over and over because I truly enjoy it :-)
And no I am not being sarcastic.
I should add idiots who hack, exploit etc. But that also is not WvW's fault.

The "WvW mechanic" was always stated, before launch, at launch, and into the future as "24/7 PVP".
That IS the mechanic!
With the matchup system, servers will end up facing other servers with roughly the same strengths and weaknesses, meaning the best, most competitive PVP possible every week.
What ruined it all, aside from lack of any benefit for players to go into WvW, is the EFT.....the Eternal Free Transfer, which means "Eternal Mismatches" regardless of the matchup system....and this we have been watching play out for months now, with no end it sight.

I work at night. I'm usually up at night and very early morning, staying on schedule for the next work cycle. The couple guilds I've joined are night-owls (Aussies and US), If I play an hour or two, capture a tower and some supply camps with my guild at 0200 PST, how is this unfair? Don't we have every right to play to win and have fun as you?
Is your relatively "normal" life ruined that much when you see the points have changed to the favor of your enemy? Or would you be just as upset if your server was the one doing the so called "nightcapping", tipping the odds in your favor?
Stop being selfish. Just because your game has ended because of your bedtime doesn't mean the world stops in its tracks until you wake up again. Grow up and open your eyes. You're just one in 7 billion and counting.

They should limit the time zones that can join a server.
sorry but your example is rubbish. There's a couple of people only being able to play at night and entire off hour guilds capping entire maps.
When so called "balanced" servers are ending up at scores like 500k, 60k, 60k ONLY due to night capping, there's a problem.

Let me start off by saying I'm completely o.k. with night capping. With that said, I want to try and explain why night capping is presenting such an issue.
If you spend 3 to 4 hours capping an area. Then you further spend say 10 gold upgrading it (not that unusual I drop 3 to 4gold a day, and I'm just me the guilds drop more than that. Yes I have to farm pve just to afford to pvp). The people that do that then face going to sleep knowing that because most of their server is based around a certain time everything is wasted. The repairs, the money spent, etc. It wears on you, and you start to feel like "what's the point". That will demoralize a server. If you look in the lower tiers people don't even bother trying anymore. They've become so demoralized that they just don't care.
This leads to lower wvw participation, and eventually the few that enjoy it simply move to higher tiers. It's a domino effect, and the end result is that less than half the servers even try it. With few end game options players leave the game to go elsewhere. You can already see this happening if you look at the numbers on the wvw scores.
There is no easy way around it though. They could simply change how you purchase upgrades for your keeps/towers. That way players aren't forced into pve, and they don't feel like they've wasted hours farming.
