mesmer iberserker greatsword skill 4 broken

my friends who play mesmer tell me that the damage it deals was reduced by half, and sometimes it doesnt even hit the monster and sometimes it cant even be casted.
Is it true? I cant go on gw2 for this few days.

There is an issue with it missing attacks. Anet says that they are working on it. There is also a generally phantasm issue with all of them waiting about .25 seconds before attacking. Since this was a fix for them waiting longer, it is likely not to be changed, despite being crippling for iBerserker and iWarden.

there's not an issue with them attacking 0.25 sec later, that is going to be the fix for the issue that they are attacking 1-3 seconds after they get summoned lol.

the problem with iZerk dmg is that some of the whirls during it's attack miss, thus crippling it's dmg severely.

John Peters replied to our qq on offi forums, and they are supposedly working on fixes for both issues, but they are taking a magnificently long time considering the magnitude of the issue ><

Yep the dps drop made me re-evaluate leveling my mes.

hell i got my vision of the mists just for that skill. It is plain powerful before this nerf. Now i felt i wasted my time and effort. Hope arenanet get their crap right, but from what i heard in the necro thread, i suspect this nerf gets even nerfier

He also said in the official forums that they hope to get it resolve/fix by Dec. 14th update.

Np, not only that, they also were looking into the phantasm delay that we're all noticing too, so until then, we should just bear with it until the 14th and hope things will be better. ^^

This is the problem with the QQ; people hear something and go on the forums to complain and give a company bad rep without even taking the effort to search for an answer. There have already been multiple threads on the subject both here and on the official forums, where Anet has even replied that they are going to fix it for us. And yes that takes time because they can't release a new patch for every single bug they fix (or you'd get booted off the game for a new client update every day) - it's better to fix as much as possible and release it in a bigger update. No, you're contributing to a negative atmosphere. You could have just asked if you didn't want to look it up yourself but you had to turn it into a whine towards Anet.

And I'm not "going away" or "minding my own business" since this is a public discussion forum about a profession I play that makes it in part my business :P

It's been like that for a while, only phantasms worth taking are Staff and Pistol. Melee phantasms are terrible vs a Boss or anything that hits hard.

I think you took his post a little harsher than intended. And the nature of your response also lends toward the negative atmosphere. Everyone just chill. It's supposed to be addresses on the Dec 14th patch, s let's hope, after that we'll see. I for one, just saw this issue.

You have a point and I may well have overreacted - my issue is that a lot of negative attention can be fairly damaging to a company's rep. And when a big part of that negativity is undeserved because people are just knee-jerking without looking at the details it still does damage and that can lead to quality of life issues, especially if that turns Anet (in this case but Blizz or Bioware etc in other cases) into a word to be shunned. Victory for those who don't like the game and wish to drag the rest with them, not so much for those who actually enjoy it and want it to succeed. As a software dev myself who knows how this sort of stuff works behind the scenes I can only feel their pain as wave upon wave of hyperbole crashes onto their (cursed) shores (geddit hurr). I just get so immensely annoyed by the mindless complaints every game forum gets spammed with that sometimes I feel the need to retaliate, especially when I haven't had my morning coffee yet :P

Also: you may have just found out about this issue, but did you go on the forums and post a thread to complain about Anet? Nope. My point exactly :)

I barely read them, let alone post there. Guru is whiny enough for me. :P

Anet is falling victim to their own hype here I think. With all the bugs and balancing issues.But that's another thread. Or another 40 threads...

Either way, I have not noticed it being too much of a drag on my build. Yeah they drop fast, but it buys me time to set up other things. Sometimes.

At least you guys can read English properly, so when someone points you in the right direction for the official response, you understand what it means...

If only you know how much whining and heated words are used for the iZerker's nerf and phantasm delay on some non-English forums... You point the way, they say 'where? what? huh?' and kept on whining... Even if you translate the words for them, many still chose not to read it or misunderstood it totally anyway... ><

Phantasmal Berserker was a key part of my being able to solo Lieutenant Kholer with his adds.  Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have any of the previous versions, but when you've got cripples galore on melee mobs, you're in control.

Solo'ing Kohler issues aside... yup they nerfed the iBezrker so it has a delay after cast.  According to designer it was to give players a chance to react to a phantasm in pvp... or at least thats how I understood it.  Only problem is delay is longer than intended.  They are suppoed go fix it.  And seems its also messed up and missing a lot on attacks.  Also not intended.  Theses issues arent profession breakers.  And Anet has shown they are making efforts to fix these.

Awesome damage for me (1800-2300 in previous patch, 3000-3800 in current I think).  Though many people are reporting its second attack missing and hitting for low damage, which is unfortunate for phantasm builds.

Most noticeable change for me is the extra Might from Shattered Strength.  It's common for me to be between 12 and 20 stacks of might now.  I'm tearing through things and having a blast!

Im pretty dissapointed that they buffed shatter build giving them extra might stacks. After patch I feel like my duelists do like 25% less damage. 3K instead of 4k-4,5k. Also maybe berserker is fixed but still he often do same dmg like before the patch ( ~2k).
