I was in a low-level zone for an RP event with my guild, and our poorly chosen location ended up being the spawning point for a bandit-killing event. After giving the thugs the beating they so richly deserved, I ended up with a gold medal and 62 copper, instead of the usual 1.2s for < Lvl 50 events I used to get.

Does anyone know if rewards been nerfed across the board, or do events no longer bottom out at Level - 30? That is, do level 50 events give half as much money now?

It's a low level zone... you don't get rewards based on your level for DE's.

but you do.Just not as good as your level appropriate zones.

You're not entirely correct, unless that's the nature of the nerf. Event rewards were floored at Level - 30. If you did an event at level 80, you never got less than level 50 rewards, a level 50 never got less than level 20, etc.

Update: Okay, just finished a L45 DE, and got 1.9 silver. So that means that the reward floor has been dropped/removed, either intentionally or as a bug.

I got 4 silver earlier today for a simple defend event in WvW. I thought it was just a bug but now...ZOMG

So I decided to do some more testing. Brought the same 80 back to Queensdale and did the Eda's Apples event.

L80 Toon/L4 Event - Gold medal
XP: 6,464 (~L60)
Kar: 131 (~L25)
$: 65c (~L25)

Then I brought a level 48 alt, same DE

L48 Toon/L4 Event - Gold
XP: 1275(~L30)
Kar: 83(~L15)
$: 41c (~L15)


25/80 ~= 15/48 ~= .31, but that might just be coincidence, since the 80 got the XP for 75% of its level, but the 48 only got the xp for 63%.

I've got a Post up on the official bugs forums, but with things going the way they are, it's hard to tell whether it's a bug or a nerf.

If someone has the time, could you try this out and see if you get the same sort of results?
