Well, on topic, I agree, I love this game. This is my first MMO and I think I made a good choice, cant wait to see what happens in the future of this game.

I have to agree with you that multiguild system is not working for me, I prefer to focus my commitment on just one guild only.

Unfortunately I´m not the only one. My guild had over 60 active members at release. Right now only two of them are left...
They all say the same reasons:
-Pointless WvWvW
-Dungeonbosses are only circlerunning and rezzing
and the number1-reason: no trinity.

It's far from perfect of course, there are many things ANet can do to make it better, but its core appeals to me a lot. I generally dislike "traditional" MMOs but this game puts a nice twist on the traditional formula. And it's easy to just jump in and have some fun, and no sub fee actually is what maks me want to log in and play - I feel a "pressure" to play and get my moneys worth in sub games which tends to put me off (granted this is just a personal quirk of mine).
My RL buddy got the game as well, and we're both having a blast playing together, even his GF is considering the game though I don't really think she'll actually get it but still. I've already helped her pick her class just in case
All in all I'm very happy with this game (though I can fully understand why many people are not), and I really hope to see it grow - or at least carve out its own niche and continue steadily for years to come.

Saying they are sad there's no trinity is like saying I'm sad there's no strawberries in my chocolate cake. I knew in advance that there won't be any and I bought it anyway.
If they wanted a trinity they had no business playing GW2 in the first place.

Have played GW1, and I some times miss the incredible amount of different skills we had there.....
But the dodging, jumping and traits in GW2 more then compensate for this loss
At the moment I have the following characters: Elementalist (80), Ranger (80), Mesmer (80), Guardian (35), Necro (17), Engineer (5), warrior (5).
I enjoy playing them all, going to get them all to 80 and then decide on which one to make my main and go for the 100% map completion. So far I've spend the most time playing my elementalist (WvW & dungeons) but after a while she tends to get boring. Can't wait for my Necro and Guardian to get to 80 and unleash their true powers......

Everything I hate in other mmo's is gone:
- no more heavy grind for the best gear, and the second-best (which is also very good) is very easy to get.
- no more having to wait to 80 for a great pvp experience
- relatively fast leveling to 80
- no subscription fee
- no more being stuck with the standard look of gear, transmutation stones & dyes fix that.
- no more visiting quest-givers, just participate when you see something happen.
- no more being dependent on a tank & healer for a great dungeon experience.

It took until post #11 before we got the first one....hoping it won't derail the thread.
On topic...I agree with OP, I'm having a blast playing this game....I'm genuinely excited to see what the future will bring.

And after playing them all, just when you think you're bored you roll a Mesmer and fall in love all over again

players flocking to a Dynamic Event, the synergy between my traits and skills, the team work and satisfaction i receive when running a dungeon, the beauty of the world, i mean, the list goes on. the more i play gw2, the more i like it.
and usually, its the other way around. .. .
