I am currently using 5 Runes of the Soldier for my gear. However, the gear actually shows 11/6, which is confusing me, it's also showing me as receiving all 6 benefits of the rune. As I understood it, you need to equip 6 runes in order to receive all 6 benefits across your gear. Perhaps I am just misunderstanding? Also, why is it showing 11/6? Any information or correction would be appreciated.

Yeah, I'm not sure why that is but the same deal happens if you equip runes that are of your profession.
Example; my guardian, when hovering over the "of the guardian" runes will say it gets all benefits, even though I have none equipped.
I'm not sure why it says that, but I'm pretty sure it's actually only counting the 5 runes for the bonuses.

It's counting the runes from your pvp armor. It's a bug.

I'm just wondering if that means I can mix runes to get max benefits if I have too many runes of the same kind that are unnecessary....

It takes into account your PvP runes, though I don't know if it actually gives you the benefit of the 6th effect.
