Sadly there is no way to tell if someone is wearing MF gear... transmute it to like like a CoF set and link a berserker CoF set piece and they won't know you are really in MF gear.
There is no way to get it out of dungeons unless Anet makes changes. Sadly you are stuck living with it for now.

Probably has been mentioned before: MF gear in zergs makes no difference because all you to do is make sure you (preferrably in a team) tag mobs to get loot. In dungeons, it would be a bad idea unless your some some of support that stacks might and boons to the party heavily or are just really good. But even then, your effectiveness is lowered and anyone can claim they are 'good'. At the end of the day, MF exists and you're just going to have to make sure you use it in the best situations. I still need to get a set
